An Exposition of Freemasonry was actually published after the author, Captain William Morgan, was kidnapped (and murdered) by Freemasons from the town of Batavia, New York on Sept. 11, 1826, for reasons concerning the contents exposed in his book. Published, posthumously, in 1827, it remains one of the most critical expose's of Freemasonry. Mystery surrounded the murder of the author for more than 50 years. |
