This site reflects people I met and places I visited during my 3 month travel and work in SIBERIA - October/December 2003, assembling
Canada's Lovat's Tunnel Boring Machines for the Tarmanchukan Tunnel (Trans-Siberian Railway) in ARKHARA and for the Metro Construction in NOVOSIBIRSK.ARKHARA - Amur region, is a station on the Trans-Siberian route located in Far East at 8080 km from Moscow, with beautiful lanscape and wanderful people. KHABAROVSK the industrial, transport, administrative and cultural center of Khabarovsk Territory, links major transport routs: the Trans-Siberian railway, the longest in the world and the Moscow - Khabarovsk airline, one of the most important and busiest airlines of the country. NOVOSIBIRSK is the capital city of Siberia and the geographical center of Russia. Located on the banks of the Ob river, Novosibirsk is the third-largest city in Russia. |
