Responsible, hardworking, motivated, fun-loving, humorous, adventurous, smart and kind-hearted are few adjectives easily picked by anybody who knows me well.
According to my friends, some of the words above are well illustrated. Teamwork is not a new thing for me. I love to play basketball where teamwork and trust are highly valued. I can say that there is almost no problem for me in getting to know new people, from different backgrounds, and to work with them casually and/or professionally.
Quite often, my university basketball coach trusted me to lead the team. Being a captain of the team, I should not only depend on the trust given by the coach but I also have to gain trust and support from my teammates. As many of other situations in this life, gaining trust and support from superiors, colleagues, and subordinates, is one of the key factors to be successful. So far, I have no problem in gaining the trust and support from them.
It is true that without hard work, it will be impossible to get what I have achieved. However, one should not get stressed out because of it. I try to balance up things a little bit and try to find happiness in doing my tasks. With that, I believed any task would be accomplished easier. Also, being able to manage time, people and projects plays an important role.
I am blessed that I have all of these to be successful in the projects entrusted to me. These same traits also benefited me in accomplishing my studies and in being successful in life professionally and spiritually. I chose to study in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore as its curriculum offers a sense of balance between the application of technology and its relevance in the business environment, which allows me to broaden my professional horizon.
