Sonnet No. 2
What is a friend's decision to a man?
No world upon his shoulders carries he,
Nor by some trick or shallow sleight of hand
Does he carry responsibility.
If a friend wants it so it should be done,
If he insists, so then it should be true.
Then if the heavy hand of fate shall come
No guilt shall be imparted onto you.
Friends be not friends if they do interfere,
Allies, in their slumber, alone do dream,
If wrong shall come, 'tis wrong to shed a tear,
Uncaring is the way a friend must seem.
If all I've said be true, and this be fact,
Friends don't exist, and life's a pointless act.
