Earl Boykins

Listed as 5-5 and 133 lbs, Boykins is the lightest and second shortest player in NBA history (the shortest player is Bogues, 5-3). He joined the NBA in 98-99 season but was not drafted--mainly because of his height (most sorties in NBA are around 6-0). For a few years, Boykins was just a little known bench player.

That all changed in the 02-03 season, when Boykins was signed be the Golden State Warriors. He was able to play big minutes during the season, and he had a career high 28 points in a game versus Minnesota. Boykins established his fame in that season.

This season (03-04), Boykins joined the Denver Nuggets, playing almost 20 minutes per game and averaging 10 points plus, he is also one of the bet shooters in the league--having a 92.6% FT%. Boykins might not be a big guy, and he might not be a superstar. However, his skills should not be overlooked.
