Generally regarded as little more than a subset of the greater human species, Thomas Ash or Tom Ash - type people are markedly on the increase. To give you a little introduction to this deep, meaningful and ultimately wonderful world, I present to you my introduction to my personal favourite Ash's of the Thomas/Tom variety.
This man is the real deal, thought by many to be the original proginator of the 'Tom Ash' brand. In prior days, before the recent expansion of Tommy Ashiness I devoted a whole page to this legend, which you can still read to this day. The original and best, this Tom Ash has all of the hallmarks of greatness so regualrly associated with his namesakes, and more. Don't take my word for it though, move to La Mesa and buy real estate off of him - you'll see what I mean.
A long way down the page linked to the left you can find a mention of 'Tom Ash's March'. Little is known of this march these days, but it is believed amongst the Tom Ash fraternity that the apostrophe is in fact misplaced, and that the line should read 'Tom Ashs' March' - the march of the Tom Ashes. The first recorded incident of massed Tom Ashing, this song revels in the glory days of the revolution, when Tom Ashes came out of hiding and declared themselves a true force. A lot of us lost namesakes in that march, but we all acquired an identity. I sing this song to myself in the shower still.
This jaunty little fellow shares a university with me, and has a full range of websitiness, declaring his lot for positive atheism. Full of philosophical intent, this feller me lad has a chirpy grin fitting quite squarely with the Tom Ash tradition, though he hardly has the style of the original and best up above. It should perhaps be noted that not all Tom Ashes follow this atheistical view, and indeed Father Tom Ash of the Hebrides assures me that the Tom Ash movement has a vibrant deist community too.
Modest and charitable, this Tom Ash is a prime example of the talented youth moving up through the 'Tom Ash academy', painting a bright horizon for the Tom Ash community's future.
An unstoppable designer and tinkerer, best known for his 'Glory-hole' work, this Tom Ash is an inventor-in-chief of the movement. Accredited with also designing gravity, handkerchiefs, wood and, more recently, politicians, the fertile mind of the Tom Ash is exemplified here, and it remains an eternal shame that his work is not more widely recognised. Currently working on a cure to shortness, Tom has been seen wandering around with a long stick of wood of late, and we of course wish him the best of luck in this, and all of his oher ventures.
