It was a wet stormy Tuesday night on the 27th of November 2001 but it didn't matter cos we were at the Oddeyese in Belfast to see the World Wrestling All-Stars. We entered the arena and went to block B, row 19, seats 8 and 9 where we were to view the action. While we waited the arena very kindly played Foo Fighter's 'Color and Shape' album which was very nice of them. |

Eventually we were ready for show time and the announcer bloke (who's name i've completly forgotten) came up and welcomed us as well as introducing his colour commentator Kannon. First match up was for the WWA Cruiserweight International championship where champ Juventud Guerrera took on Psychosis. Juventud even did a "finally the Juice has come back to Belfast". Hmm..wonder we he nicked that from? Pretty exciting stuff but in the end good over came evil and Jerventude defended his title by pinning Psychosis. |
| After the first match the Commissioner of the WWA came down who was none other then Bret "The Hitman" Hart who came out to his WWF music. Bret wasn't fighting tonight (and probably never will) but he talked a bit about how he had beaten Goldberg, Austin and "that piece of shit Vince McMahon" (which got a massive cheer cos although Vince gave us WWF he is still a bit of a cunt). |
| Next up was a 'Black Weding' match where Gangrel took on his wife Luna. Gangrel came on with his old Brood music and even did his blood/spitting thing. Of course in the end Luna should have stayed in the kitchen cos Gangrel got the victory |
| Hardcore match! This was between Norman Smiley and Crowbar and of course the traditional trash can fulled with weapons and not forgetting TABLES AND CHAIRS! Smiley did this cool move where he body-slammed Crowbar while holding a chair over his back. The fight went to the outside where Smiley was laying on the table and Crowbar jumped from the ring onto Smiley. In the end the match had gotten all the way up to back of the isle near where the big screens are where Norman Smiley picked up the win by pinning Crowbar. |
| Next up Buff Bagwell came down to pump the crowd up even more so the cameras could film us all going ape shit. Just then, Stevie Ray came down and started to say all this crap about everyone was really ugly and shouldn't be on TV at all. Buff, the nice guy defended us all and started slabbering back at Stevie. Then Bret Hart came down and ordered a match between the 2 later on. |
| The next guy to come down was Disco Inferno who danced away to 'Staying Alive'. And his oppent was Grand Master Sexy who came dancing along to his Too Cool music. Konnan (whose commentary could be heard over the speakers) made your momma jokes at Disco Inferno which was hilarious. In the end GMS won the match by jumping of the top rope and getting the pinfall. After the match Grand Master got the referee, Konnan and the other commentator to put on sun glasses and dance away. Disco tried to join in but the 4 of them just beat him down and threw him out of the ring. |
| Intermission time! They announced that some of the wrestlers were available for autographs. Of course everyone bailed like bastards to get there and joined this massive queue. While in this neverending cue I was talking away to this girl behind me when just when we were 5 feet away from the signing table they closed it and told us to go back to our seats! Bugger that. |

Earlier on in the night Konnan announced that he would be taking on Lenni and Lodi in a tag match with a mystery partner from the UK. Lenni and Lodi came out first with a sign saying "We hate everything Irish". BOOOO!! From the way they were acting I took it that the two characters were supposed to be bum boys. Konnan came out and announced that his partner was 7ft Nathan "The Frontline" Jones. Disco also came down to do commentry were he used it to get revenge for Konnan slagging him off during his match. He also slagged the crowd of which resulted him getting pop corn thrown at him for the rest of the night. During the match Konnan was getting beaten up and on 2 occasions made the tag however the ref didnt see it which meant that gave the bad guys time to double team on our hero. In the end Konnan finally made the tag and The Frontline absoultly cleaned house. He finished of with a choke slam to get the win! |
| The next match up was the grudge match between Stevie Ray and Buff Bagwell. Stevie came down first and did more of his shit talking until Buff came down. During the match, the ref got knocked down which gave Stevie enough time to pull out a knuckle duster from his trunks and nailed Buff to get the pinfall. However, the ref checked Stevies trunks, found the duster and ordered the match to continue. While Stevie argued with the ref, Buff climbed onto the turnbuckles and nailed Stevie with his finisher (can't remember what its called, some sort of neck breaker from the 2nd rope) and won the match. |

And finally it was time for the main event where Jeff Jarrett was to defend his WWA heavyweigth title against the Road Dogg!! Jarrett came out first with his guitar and when he got in the ring these giant flames shot out of the steel posts of the ring. Hot stuff Then the Road Dogg came down and did his "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, NOT Dengeneration-X but the World Wrestling All-stars proudly presents the ROAD DOGG JESSIE JAMES.......and if your not down with that we've got two words for ya..." and then we all shouted "SUCK IT!!!!" Great stuff. During the match the referee got knocked down and Jarrett tried to cheat and use a chair but the Road Dogg was vigilant and fought on. Unfortunatly the ref got knocked down again and Jarett used his guitar and got the pinfall victory. Booooo! Then Bret came down again and slapped the sharpshooter on Jarrett!! And the crowd went absoultly fucking mental! Then the Road Dogg did the pump handal slam on the ref. After Bret had walked around the ringside and left, the Road Dogg stood in the middle of the ring and asked for someone to give him a beer. Plastic glasses of beer were thrown in the ring but it just went all over the place. Eventually a guy beside us gave his beer to the commentator guy who then gave it to the Road Dogg who drank it down!! |
| Bloody brillant show and they said they'd be back in May again...........and so will we! |
