Ever seen a myspace/bebo/[insert name of social networking site here] profile? All the solo pics of the user are all black and white, all attempting to convey the message of...emoness. Ive always thought that these sites automatically saved all solo pics of the user in 8 bit greyscale because the webmasters assume all their memebers to be emos and to make the file sizes smaller but today I discovered my assumptions to be untrue and that you can actually make yourself look like an emo simply by saving your image files in a different format, with the added benefit of shaving a huge percentage off the file size! The other great benefit of this method is that its perfect for testing out what you would look like as an emo, but without spending all that money on booze, makeup, shitty music, clothes, razor blades and hair dye.
Heres how to do it using an easily availible image editor:
1. Open a pic of yourself in Micro$oft photo editor
Heres me with an M-16. I chose this pic because of how similar to an emo I am in it: I have a lot of dark make up on, im wearing clothes that normal people wouldnt wear in order not to conform and I have a gun in my hands, for the slow folk thats a reference to the sexual orientation of emo males and the promiscuity of emo females, for the even slower folks that still dont get it, fuck off.
2. Save the file as a jpeg in 8bit greyscale
Now im an emo!
3. Create a myspace account, upload the pic and bang, your an emo! Now you can talk with all your new emo friends about how you have no friends (yes, i know) and how no one understands. Now the good thing about this method is that whan you decide that you dont want to be an emo anymore you can just move on to step 4:
4. Delete your myspace account, delete your black and white pic, open your colour pic and marvel at yourself in all your true colour glory
