Ultrafast all-optical switch using carbon nanotube polymer composites
CNT PHOTONIC SUB PICOSECOND SWITCH
Patent document
What is claimed:
1. An ultrafast nonlinear all-optical switch having a switching speed of less than 1 picosecond for light
with a wavelength of about 1.55 micrometers, the switch comprising: (a) a substrate; and (b) a material
disposed on the substrate, the material including a plurality of carbon nanotubes and a polymer forming
a composite.

Flat multi-spectral light source
Abstract
Cold cathodes are used as field emitters within a multi-spectral
light source, which is flat and compact. With the use of filters,
very narrow and tunable light wavelengths can be achieved from
a single lamp having a large selection of spectral behavior.
