| Engine Rebuild If you have been around this website you know I had plans for a rebuild, not a full one but a rebuild along with a new clutch and gearbox. Well, turns out I need the whole ball of wax. Here you can see my engine after I pulled it from the car, and the terrible shap my Rod Bearings were in. These were the worst of them at least. |
| Yes it is a messy little beast, and she was definitely glad I took the time to strip her down and treat her right. |
| There was basically no wear on the cylinders, so I had her honed and all the new hardware add. Went with ARP all around just for the added security. Not to mention a HKS Headgasket |
| With the Head and longblock back from the machine shop, I just had to start putting the pieces together. Along the way I decided to clean up the rust where I could and add a little color. Sure rust is a color just not one of my favorites. |
| Note that the Headgasket is upside down in this photo, the oil port on the front right side of the block that feeds oil to the head is covered. |
