PRE-PROMO THOUGHTS
What a horrible last few weeks I've been having. First at WrestleMania, lose the Money in the Bank, then last week, not only did I lose an X-Division title match, I lost a match that could have given me a World title shot. All I can do is bounce back, but I'm facing Dan Taylor this week, talk about tough luck.

The scene begins after Xplosion has gone off the air. We see Mr. Man backstage, still in his ring gear, standing next to some metal boxes, his hands on his hips, and a towel on his neck and shoulder,looking bummed out. He starts kicking some of the boxes, before Roddy Piper get's to his face.
Roddy Piper: " Woah, you okay Manuel, you seem pretty pissed. "
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " You think? I just got screwed by the Exiles, what kind of shit was that? "
Roddy Piper: " How was I suppose to know that was going to happen? It's not like I control the way my wrestlers think, I just make the matches. "
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Yeah, and yet I still get screwed! I get screwed out of a match that could have determined my damn future, a match that could have put me in title contention! "
Mr. Man then kicks a metal box again, showing his frustration from what happened earlier in the night.
Roddy Piper: " Calm down, it's not like I planned for the Exiles to do that, I don't even like them. "
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Damn it Piper! Why are you screwing me like this? Why can't I just get my damn World title shot!? "
Roddy Piper: " What do you mean I'm screwing you? If anything I've been helping you, like next week, I'm giving you a match against Dan Taylor, that's hardly screwing you. "
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " You're screwing me by not just giving me my damn title shot! I remember you saying once that only those that deserve title shots should get them, and I deserve one! "
Roddy Piper looks at Mr. Man with an oblivious look on his face. Mr. Man looks back, with a scornful face.
Roddy Piper: " I did say that, but there's people more worthy of contention status for title shots, not just you. "
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Really, there's people in better contention then me? Didn't I recall you giving Alex Shelley a World title shot a few months back? How the hell does that Michael Jackson wanna-be get a World title shot before me? "
Roddy Piper: " Look, that was then, the point is now, you lost and got screwed. Nothing I could do there, but next week you have Dan Taylor, focus on that. "
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Yeah, I should focus on that. But there's one thing, I've never gotten a World title shot! And Alex Shelley did! How the hell does that happen!? "
Roddy Piper has an annoyed look on his face, as Mr. Man seems to be really angry at that fact.
Roddy Piper: " That was in December Manuel, this is now, and now you have a match against Dan Taylor next week. You should stop bitching about the World title, and get focusing on that. "
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " I should stop bitching Piper, but I won't. Yeah, I know we all have to earn our title shots. "
Roddy Piper: " Yes, you do have to earn your title shots, that's why I'm giving you a match with Dan Taylor next week. If you can beat him, you're back as a contender. "
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Damn it Piper, then can't you at least consider me going into the main event of Retribution? Cause, this is a big load of crap. "
Roddy Piper: " If you can beat Dan Taylor next week, then I might possibly consider putting you into the main event of Retribution. "
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " You better consider me Piper, because this is bullshit. And to tell you the truth Piper, I hope Shane makes me a draft pick. "
Mr. Man then kicks one of the metal boxes again, before walking away from Roddy Piper. Mr. Man looks angry, as Roddy Piper says something after he leaves.
Roddy Piper: " Damn it, I'm just doing my job, why can't they all just get it? "
Roddy Piper then walks away from the area, the opposite way that Mr. Man went, ending this scene.

Kansas City, Missouri (Xplosion house show)
This scene begins at an eWe Xplosion branded house show, in Kansas City, Missouri. Fans have come in to see their favorite stars on the Xplosion brand, and have just returned from an intermission, when they hear the familiar music of "Almost Over" by Limp Bizkit, which causes them to go on their feet.
As the fans go on their feet, out from the back comes Mr. Man. He begins walking down the ramp, as fans seem to be cheering for him, before he goes up the steel steps and into the ring. He then goes to the ring announcer, Jesse Ventura, and grabs a microphone.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Yes, I know, I wasn't booked to be on this card, I wasn't even scheduled to be here tonight, but let's face it, I can't stand to be away from the ring, so I came here to Kansas City, to be with all you fans. "
There seems to be a little pop coming from the audience, as Mr. Man looks on with a little smiles.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Now, I know everyone has said it, and I know some of them might possibly be right, and that is why don't I get a World title shot? Now, I know you need to earn your shots in pro-wrestling, and that's what I've been doing, earning my shots. And I know I am getting a World title shot, but that's for another time. "
Mr. Man pauses for a few seconds, taking a glimpse at the fans who are watching him speak in the middle of the ring.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Now, this Wednesday Night on Xplosion, our oh so lovely General Manager, Roddy Piper booked me into a match with a man I know you all hate in Dan Taylor. Now, Dan Taylor is a pretty huge name in eWe, as he has pretty much been in the ring with them all, including me. And he's pretty much won them all, except for two losses over Sean Lewis. "
Mr. Man keeps glancing at the fans as he says, trying to make it comes out loud and clear.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " But now Dan, I know who you are, and I know that you've had a huge career before eWe. Before eWe, Dan Taylor was basically the flagship superstar, or the franchise superstar, to the AWO. And we all know that Dan was probably the one man that made AWO compete with eWe, and once he left, AWO suffered. Then here came Dan Taylor into the eWe, how good indeed for us. "
Mr. Man does a little smirk after saying this, as he keeps looking at the fans, making eye contact with various fans.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " But then Dan, after coming to eWe, you basically lost the fanbase you once had in AWO, which pretty much seemed to ruin your career. That was, before you decided to cash in on the Dan Taylor hatred, which is basically what got you into competeing a match at WrestleMania, for the All-American championship, which of course, you won. "
Mr. Man nows pauses, trying to clear his throat, in order to keep his voice nice and clean.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Now Dan, I don't know what to say about you winning the All-American title, because that was once a title that, as much as I hate bragging, but I was the one guy who took that title to where it is today. And I know you Dan Taylor, you're gonna go around saying that you are the greatest All-American champion of all time, but that right there is false. "
Mr. Man now does a little smile, hoping Dan Taylor is looking, so he can play some mind games.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " But other than that, I have no problem with Dan Taylor. In fact, it may be a shock to some of you, but I am actually a fan of Dan Taylor. Now sure, Dan Taylor doesn't have what it takes to capture the fans imagination, but he's a good athlete. And if he didn't have such an ego, he'd be pretty cool. But that is beside the point Dan, as I know you want something I want, and that is a World title shot. "
Mr. Man pauses yet again, clearing his throat, before looking back at the fans in attendence.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " But, to tell you the truth Dan, I think it would be a joke if you got a World title shot. Because, let's face it, you've been dominate, but as far as your record with Sean Lewis goes, that's bad, and the fact that I've been here three years and have yet to get a shot, that's even worse. And I know, I don't have the best record, I have people doubting my ability each and every week, but that doesn't matter. There is one thing that does matter to me, and that is beating you on Xplosion. "
Mr. Man does a long blink of the eyes, as he pauses again, trying to get more energy.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Now Dan, this match probably means more to me, then it probably does to you, and that's for one reason. I want a World title shot, and I know, by beating you, I might finally get that shot. Dan, I know you probably think I'm no match against you, and that might be true, but let's face it Dan, that is wrong. I know you Dan, because I've dealt with people like you thoughout my career. "
Mr. Man now has a more serious look on his face, while he keeps the same smirk he's had throughout the whole promo.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " Yeah, and those people were all brash, cocky, arrogant, and everytime, I make sure that they are less brash and cocky then they were before me. But Dan, I could care less if you're cocky or not, because I only have on goal in mind between now, and Wednesday night, and that is to beat you. Now, I doubt I am going to slaughter you Dan, but I am going to make sure, I beat you, and get my arm raised up in victory. "
Mr. Man pauses one last time, keeping his smirk, and looking towards the fans.
' THE FUTURE ' -- Mr. Man: " So Dan, what I'm going to do, is train, sleep, and get ready to face you on Xplosion. Because, despite whatever the odds I have, or despite the internal support I have, Dan I'm taking you to hell, and I'm going to make sure my name is scratched in on that World title contender list. So, good luck Dan, and prepare for war, because that's what I plan to be doing. And I hope that you know, not to take me lightly, and I'll see you on Wednesday. "
Mr. Man does a little smirk, before he drops the microphone, as "Almost Over" plays yet again. Mr. Man then leaves the ring after all of this, ending this entire scene.
