Life's Not Fair
| Scene | We open up our scene backstage in the Bridgeport Arena at Harbor Yard, where we see Mr. Man standing in front of an eWe logo. He looks over at the eWe.com cameras, and just smirks at the camera.
| Mr. Man | What comes to mind when you talk about eWe? What superstars do you think of? What are the things that make you love about eWe? Well let's see, you think about people like White Tiger, Sean Lewis, Rikku, but let me ask you, in all those legends in eWe, and believe me, they are legends, does my name even get brought up once? Does someone like me, a man who spent 4 and a half years of his career, slaving as a curtain jerker, working his way up without help, with nobody helping me along the way, and eventually winning the World Heavyweight title, does someone like me even get a little recognition when it comes to eWe? Does someone who personifies what this company is all about, athleticism, charisma, charm, skill, do they get all the props in the world by people who look at this company? Of course I don't! I never get respect, and I can tell you why! I don't get respect because people like my opponent tonight, they get fluke wins over me, and act like they're the best!
| Scene | Mr. Man just stares at the camera, shaking his head just a little bit, before continuing on.
| Mr. Man | People don't seem to realize, I am the Gold Standard of eWe, everything I say, and everything I do should be emulated by everybody in the back! These fans that follow us like locusts, they should have nothing but respect for me! I'm the best in the entire business, and what do I have to show for it? I am in the greatest tag team to hit the eWe with Johnny Chaos in the Extreme Standard, but how am I supposed to be taken seriously if some jobber manages to get a fluke over me? Isn't that right D-Dawg? Isn't it right how I am a former World Heavyweight Champion, beaten pretty much everybody in the eWe, and yet I get a fluke loss to someone like you, and nobody cares about me? I need to ask you, is it fair, D-Dawg? Is it fair?
| Scene | Mr. Man shows a bitter look on his face, before staring at the eWe.com cameras once more, pausing.
| Mr. Man | Is it fair that I spent four years of my life, trying to build myself a legacy? Is it fair that I work my ass off for four years, four long years, to become World Heavyweight Champion, and the moment, the moment I get a loss, a loss to a nobody like you D-Dawg, all the legitmacy, all the respect I had gained, is lost? I say hell no. Hell no! You are nothign D-Dawg, you are nothing to me, and nothing to this company, and yet me losing to you is supposed to put a blemish on my career? Do you not know who I am? I am a former World Heavyweight Champion, I have beaten everyone important enough to beat, anything I've ever wanted, I have gotten from hard work and sacrifice! D-Dawg, you need to realize, I am a future Hall of Famer, I am the Gold Standard, and last week at that eWe Live Event, me losing to you was just plain bullshit!
| Scene | Mr. Man's look of bitterness then slowly fades, as he begins to smirk, a smirk of arrogance and confidence.
| Mr. Man | But you see, D-Dawg, tonight is the night, tonight is the night I get my retribution. Tonight is the night I get my win back. Tonight is the night where last week, I get to rewrite the history books. After tonight, D-Dawg, nobody is going to remember the fact that you were able to cheat me last week, because like I have done to everyone that's ever crossed me, I will destroy you? Why do you think nobodies heard of Blue Panther since I beat him? Why do you think the name Cameron Hayden is never mention? Shawn Ashlocke? Because I destroyed them! I beat them all, and I became the best in the business, and I will be damned if you are gonna walk out as a man. I will be damned if you somehow, someway get another fluke victory over me. And D-Dawg, when I beat you, your 15 minutes of fame will not only end, but I will prove to the world that I am indeed back and better than ever.
| Scene | Mr. Man continues his smirk, turning his head from the camera, before staring from the side of his head.
| Mr. Man | Don't worry D-Dawg, the anger inside of me, it's not just for you, because, I have anger inside, I have the madness inside that I am saving. Not for you though, cause I have enough anger for you, but I'm saving anger for January 27, when I take on Eighteen. But, that's then, and this is now, and now D-Dawg, I'm gonna give you a choice. You can either try and take me on in a one-on-one match in the middle of the ring, or you can do the smart thing, and that is just lay down. But the thing is, I know people like you D-Dawg, using the excuse of the underdog, and trying to use that as your advantage, but you need to know, underdogs never win. This isn't a comic book, this isn't a superhero movie, the fact of the matter is, D-Dawg, tonight you will get pulverize, tonight you will get beaten, and in doing so, I am going to embarrass you. If I wanted to, D-Dawg, I could do what I do best and that is humiliate you to the point that you leave this company, like many of the afore mentioned names have done. See, I could do that, but in reality, I don't wanna do that. I don't wanna ruin your young career, D-Dawg.
| Scene | Mr. Man now smiles, showing an ounce of humanity living inside this otherwise cold human being.
| Mr. Man | See, D-Dawg, as much of a jobber, curtain jerker and no name that you are, when I am long gone into retirement, and my historic career, people like you, the jobbers of today, will be the stars of tommorow. And D-Dawg, I respect that, and coming from me, that should mean more than something. But, but if you think a fluke win over me means that this company will give a damn about you in the long run, well I say no. Believe me, D-Dawg, I got my share of "fluke wins" in my time, and it took me four long years to become World Heavyweight Champion. All because we had administrators, General Managers, and other high officials that cared more about their own characters, than they did me. So, I ask you D-Dawg, what makes you think, what makes you think this win means a damn thing? Cause no matter what, after I beat you this week, your rising star, your rising, shining, flaming star, will burn out.
| Scene | Mr. Man then chuckles, laughing at the camera, the smirk on his face once again appearing.
| Mr. Man | D-Dawg, on this last night of 2008, this New Years Eve, where everyone will be celebrating, everyone will be getting trashed off of their ass, you're gonna be in the backroom of the Arena at Harbor Room, and you're gonna be distraught. You will be distraught over the fact that you closed out your 2008 with a loss again the best wrestler in the world. D-Dawg, dare I say, you may even cry, cry with the burden of the fact that you are nothing, and that your loss to me tonight overshadows your fluke last week! Tonight, December 31st will be the night the Gold Standard is not only reborn, but the Gold Standard returned, and tonight, I am going to destroy you D-Dawg! I will prove to the world, D-Dawg, prove to the world my legitamacy, and prove to the world just how great I really am! Believe me, D-Dawg, I am looking forward to this, I am looking forward to defeating you and taking my win back!
| Scene | Mr. Man then pauses, sighing, before continuing on what he has to say.
| Mr. Man | So D-Dawg, I suggest you soak in this moment. I suggest you sit there, and you think long and hard of where your career is going, because tonight, your career's going down, and it's your choice afterwards whether or not your career goes back up or not. Because you're not facing any ordinary man, you're not facing some random guy, you're facing the Best in the Business today, you're facing the Gold Standard of eWe, and believe me tonight, you're going to realize that. Tonight, you will pay for cheating me last week, and you will pay dearly my friend, because, believe me, I am going to punish you. D-Dawg, tonight is my night to shine, and I will be damned if 4 years of hard work is thrown down the drain because som punk like you steals another win from me. Because last week, that was in the past, and this, D_Dawg, this is present, and what you need to know is that I am the Gold Standard, and I am the Future, and the Future is here!
| Scene | Mr. Man then goes away from his position, walking off, leaving the camera to fade away on the spot he was once at. This would indeed end the scene, and subsequently, end the roleplay.
