We open up our scene to an Xplosion house show, just days before Halloween Havoc in Philadelphia. This time, however, we are in Pittsburgh, just miles away from Philly, as we enter our house show arena. In this arena, we see the fans eagerly looking in the ring, as we see Jesse Venture standing with a microphone in hand.
Jesse Venture
With this, we hear "Almost Over" by Limp Bizkit play over the p/a system, as some green neon lights flash around the arena. With this, we see Mr. Man walk out from the back, with a smile on his face, and his X-Division Championship over his shoulder. He walks down the ramp, a cocky swagger on him. Eventually, he gets ringside, as he walks up the steel steps and into the ring, and after some posing in the ring with his X-Division Championship, he walks up to Jesse Ventura and asks for the microphone from him.
'The Future' Mr. Man
Mr. Man smirks now, as he holds the microphone near his face, and keeps a hold to his X-Division Championship.
'The Future' Mr. Man
Mr. Man briefly pauses, as he looks around the arena, scouting average fans, wearing different types of shirts, mostly wrestling related, smiling.
'The Future' Mr. Man
Mr. Man looks around yet again, his X-Division title still draped over his shoulder, as he pauses.
'The Future' Mr. Man
Mr. Man still looks with a smile, showing that being gone for three weeks can leave you a bit tired.
'The Future' Mr. Man
Mr. Man looks around the arena, a smirk on his face, still having goose bumps from the cheer of the live crowd.
'The Future' Mr. Man
Mr. Man keeps looking around the arena, as he smiles again, still a little jittery for his return.
'The Future' Mr. Man
Mr. Man looks around the arena with a smile on his face, looking at the fans who continue to stay loud.
'The Future' Mr. Man
With this, Mr. Man smirks, dropping the microphone, as "Almost Over" by Limp Bizkit plays over the p/a system again. Mr. Man then goes to pose with his X-Division title for a bit, before getting out of the ring, and walking up the ramp, waving at the fans before going back backstage, ending this scene.
"Ladies and gentlemen! I would love for you all to please stand, for the Xplosion return of the X-Division Champion! Mr. Man!"
"For the past three weeks, I have been sitting home, itching and waiting for this moment, this opportunity, to tell everyone I'm back! I understand, that while I was gone, not much changed, and why should it, I was gone three measly weeks. But, in those three weeks, we have seen a number one contender for the World title mad. We saw people get questioned over the strange disappearance of our beloved GM, Jenna Jameson. And, through-out all the drama, all the wins, all the main eventers, these past three weeks of my absence shows that without me, ratings will plummet. Now, I know this last week ratings were good, because they thought I was actually coming back, but of course, that was not the case, because certain people are lairs."
"While I was gone, I decided to relax a bit, let loose, and wait for my return this Sunday at Halloween Havoc, and of course, being as I'm a champion, I must defend this title, or else. I also know, that there was a long list of challengers that eWe management put in front of me, as I eagerly made my decision. But, instead of following the norm and picking a random person on the list, I picked a man who wasn't even on the list to defend my title against. And that of course, as you all should know, one Dylan Styles. And while some are probably questioning my sanity, as to why I chose Dylan Styles, the same Dylan Styles I beat at SummerSlam, you need to know, I had my reasons."
"See, I had many reasons to choose from, many stacks on my desk to look at as to why I picked Dylan Styles, but there was something there that made just wanna choose him. I chose Dylan Styles, because, in the past three weeks I was gone, the man has dominated people I never would have thought. I chose Dylan Styles, because he deserved it more than any of the others on that list, and I know he wants another piece of me. The thing is, I'm not totally sure he does want to face me. The reason for this is because behind the personality behind him, that "I'm Money" look in his face, I know behind it, he might not want to face me again. He might not be sure in his heart if he could beat me like he couldn't do at SummerSlam, when I made history."
"But Dylan Styles is a tough bastard, he gained my respect at SummerSlam when we battled out asses off. And, I know Dylan Styles is one of the best on the Xplosion roster, the names he has beaten is phenomenal. The thing is, while you were beating some main event superstars, I was at home, resting until I could come back, and all the while, you were working your ass off, becoming physically and emotionally burned out, I was resting. And unlike SummerSlam, where you had the fresher mind, you had the advantage over a guy on a hot streak, you weren't beaten and torn, at Halloween Havoc, it's different. At SummerSlam, I still had a shoulder injury on me, and you had every advantage in your corner, you still couldn't capitalize and beat me, not at Halloween Havoc, I am 100%, I'm as great as I ever was, and I haven't been getting burnt out by big names. And solely because of that, I know for a fact I can beat you."
"Dylan, don't get me wrong, because I know for a fact, that you can beat me, the thing about that is, I'm not gonna let you. I know the odds against me, and I know that they don't favor me, but when do they ever favor me? I also know that these same people who count me out know that while all the main eventers like Sean Lewis and Shawn Ashlocke grabbed their balls and went home this summer, I was here making Xplosion the A-brand. And the same people, who count me out, every single night, know the fact that I am probably the greatest X-Division Champion of all time. The thing is, they also know that while Dylan Styles might match me in my ring presence, they know for a fact, that I am both more entertaining than him, and that I am more charismatic than him."
"And it's funny, because these past 3 years since coming to this place, it seems every time I might be seen down and out, I come out of nowhere to win. This is no different, Dylan Styles, because while I may have been gone 3 weeks, I know that in the back, there is few people who think I can win, or want me to win. I also know, Dylan, that my whole career I have been the underdog, everything I do, I won the X-Division title as an underdog, but this is different. This is different, because unlike SummerSlam, where me and you were matched with victories, I beat you in a show stealer. This time, you were beating people like Sean Lewis and Cameron Hayden, and I was home on my ass, I know you can beat me. The thing is, it doesn't matter to me, sure, you have beaten some big names, but you've never beaten them during title matches. You've never proved the world you are the greatest of all time, I have."
"Dylan, I know you don't want to admit it, just like you didn't for SummerSlam, but we all know the only reason you're here is because of your relationship with our former GM. We also know that you're only here, trying to rebuild your backyard wrestling quality career, by trying to take my X-Division Championship. And Dylan, I can understand you wanna relive your glory days, but from what I saw at SummerSlam, you're just gonna choke on the pressure, and fail at taking my title, and just like SummerSlam, Im going to prove to the world, why I really am a legend in the making. And I understand, Dylan, if you somehow fail to beat me at Halloween Havoc. I understand that you might actually turn momentum towards you, and finally beat me."
"Now Dylan, just because I say that, it doesnt mean that I expect you to slouch and be lazy like some wrestlers around here. In fact, I expect you to show why, though it may have been backyard wrestling to the extreme, that uKw was your training ground, it proved you were good. The thing is, no matter your performance, whether its fantastic or craptastic, Dylan, I know for a fact I am better than you. I know that Im better than most wrestlers in this company. And by beating you, Dylan, itll prove to everyone, that I am as great as Ive been saying I am for the past year. Dylan, Sundays gonna be different, but it will have the same outcome, I will be the winner, you will be the loser, and it'll prove that I am not only the Future of Sports-Entertainment, but that I am also the Best in the Business, and that I am the Champion of Champions. And most of all Dylan, at the end of the night, I will prove that I am the single greatest X-Division Champion of all time."
