Summaries: Trouble In Wales - In Wales, Pai and Yakumo are searching for Madurai, the Wu that Yakumo met during volume 9. The two tries their luck in a bar, and this is where they meet an English Information Trader, Pekinpaa. The Information Trader offers help in exchange for money and payment of his drink. "An English Ling-Ling!", thought Yakumo. After paying and leaving the bar, the duo searches elsewhere. Still nothing, and Yakumo says that they should've brought Yohko with them. Pai hears this and runs off crying. She runs into Pekinpaa, who's getting beaten up by thugs. She decides to interfere. Meanwhile. Yakumo is looking for Pai, and scolds himself of mentioning Yohko. Two officers finds him and demands to see his passport, but Yakumo isn't paying attention to them -- he sees Pai captured in a car! The Wu tries to chase after the car, but the officers are holding him back ... Later, Pai and the Information Trader is in a cemetary with the thugs and their boss. Their boss appears to be associated with Western magic because of his goat costume. The goat dude tells them that he's from a "very, very dangerous crimal ring", but Pai isn't afraid at all. The goat dude gets offended and his thugs pulls out knives. He tells them that he has decided to sacrifice their blood ... The Girl From 10 Years Back - Yakumo is desperately searching for his Sanjiyan girl, but no one knows anything. Back to Pai, the goat dude is wondering why she isn't afraid. Pai decides to ask him a question; does he know of anyone named Madurai? The goat dude and his friends exchange confused expressions, and Pai dismisses them as harmless. She tells "Gutless Uncle" to leave with her, but the thugs attacks! Pai easily defeats them by showing her aerobic skills, and threatens to call Hong-Nyong if they don't stop. Just then, Pai begins to hear voices and she gets distracted. One of the thug shoots at her and knocks her unconscious. For a moment she is captured, but -- it's Yakumo to the rescue! Yakumo easily dispose of the thugs, but the goat dude shoots at him! Multiple times, even! Of course, being the Wu that he is, Yakumo gets back up and extracts revenge with Kuan-Yaa! He doesn't kill off Mr. Goat, but gives him a new hair cut. Goat dude and friends runs off, scared of "oriental magic". Pai is saved, but she gets images of a girl from 10 years ago holding the sword that belonged to the Madurai we know of. Gutless Uncle offers his help to Yakumo again -- but this time at no charge because he saved his life! Man In The Mist - A man and a woman is seen making out in their car. Just then, a large man stands before them. The couple panics, and the man seemingly turns to mist. The mist covers and suffocates the woman while the man, scared out of his wits, runs off. The next day, the students in a school spreads the news that a 6th victim has been found. Among them is Mexing Long! She talks about the fact that she used to be in Yougekisha, her brother, Pai, and Yakumo. Then she wonders what they would do if they were all here. Just then, a gang of girls interrupts their chat, one of them being Megan. They seem to be highly respected seniors of the school, and as it turns out, the murdered victim is also a highly respected senior and that the murderer seems to be a man made of mist! Later that night, Mexing and her roommate, a girl named Maria, are still discussing the woman's death in their room. Suddenly, Mexing looks out the window and sees a figure climbing into the building! She decides that he must be the infamous "mist man" and chases after him, shouting "thief!". However, the mountain climber turns out to be none other than Yakumo!! Intruder - Somewhere else, the real mist man has also decided to try Yakumo's sport. He stops by a window and spys on the two girls living in there. One of the girl leaves the room to check out the "thief" that Mexing called out earlier. However, as the girl leaves, the other girl is left with in a room full of mist ... !! Back to Mexing, she's in the room that Yakumo tried to get in, and Megan and a bunch of roommates are demanding to know why she screamed thief when none is present. Mexing calls her an idiot in chinese, and the senior demands to know what she said. Mexing of course, translates her word into "sorry" and "I should've known better". Everyone returns to their rooms, but Megan is suspicious. This was a different attitude that Mexing presented earlier! The senior decides that there must be someone in the closet that Mexing is blocking, but Mexing tells her otherwise. However, before she could even touch the closet door, a ghastly scream is heard. Megan runs off to find whomever is screaming. Mexing closes the room door, and Yakumo climbs out of the closet. Mexing demands to know if the Wu had anything to do with the "mist man", but Yakumo gives her a confused look. Yakumo returns to his reason of being, and searches the room. Mexing informs him that the room he's searching belonged to the dead victim, and Yakumo says that's exactly why he's searching. Suddenly, Yakumo tells Mexing that he feels a strong youki nearby! Also at that moment, Megan decides it was time to bother Mexing some more and opens the closed door! She finds Yakumo and Mexing, and demands to know who the Wu is. Yakumo takes off, leaving Mexing and Megan to themselves. Megan still demands to know who Yakumo is, as well as informing Mexing that a big incident just happened! Meanwhile, Yakumo is at the rooftop with Fei-Oh and he happens to see Mr. Mist. Yakumo attacks, but Misty vanishes! Back to Mexing and Megan, they are standing in the room of yet another victim ... The Five Targets - Mexing is telling Megan about youkai and youma and her former job at Yougekisha, but the senior dismisses her and demands proof. She then tells her not to underestimate her and informs Mexing something -- all the victims so far are named "Maria"! She then suggests to gather all the girls named Maria in one room tonight to lure out the murderer. Just then, Pai appears! "So you guys thought of that too?" she says. Meanwhile, Yakumo is calling Yougekisha and it's obvious that HE has reached the same conclusion, too. Yohko suggests that the "mist man" may also be a water sprite like her, and that using warm may be the best defense. Yakumo then concludes the call by promising Steve not to tell his younger sister about Mrs. Wong's death or that Kaiyanwang is still alive. Back to Mexing, Pai has apparently told her about their search for Madurai, and Mexing wants to know why. However, Pai is in agony as to what to say since she can't say a word about Benares. Suddenly, Mexing sees her roommate as asks her if it's alright to have 5 or 6 people over their room. Maria doesn't object, and Mexing and Pai are off to gather the other Maria's. Yakumo offers to help, but almost got kicked by Mexing. Watching from the top of the building, Megan is watching, and she thinks of the name "Maria". Just then, she hears that Maria's relatives has called her ... Back inside the building, Yakumo and Mexing has successfully gotten all the Maria's in one room, and Pai and Pekinpaa has gathered a lot of heatvents. Suddenly, Mexing realizes that her roommate Maria is gone! Attack - Maria's friend informs Pai-tachi that her relatives called her home, and Yakumo will have to fetch her. He, Pekinpaa and Pai will be gone for about two hours. As they leave, Mexing's friend tells her that something happened in her room!! Mexing goes off to check, and discovers that there were too many heatvents sitting there, warming the heck out of anyone who entered. Of course, the Maria's that were gathered decided to relax in Megan's room instead. Mexing is upset about this, but Megan ensures her their safety with a shotgun. Mexing decides to bring a heatvent to the senior's room and goes off to fetch it. On her way, she sees a dead officer and dog! Suddenly, the electricity shuts off! Mexing demands to know what's going on, and she encounters the "mist man"!! The Maria's also comes out, and "mist man" is only a few feet away! Mexing tries to slow him down, but misty begins to mist ..... but not before Megan shoots him! No effect. Mexing decides to use her heatvent, but there's only one problem -- no electricity!! Megan is about to get suffocated, but Mr. Wu drops in at just the right time! He attacks "mist man" a couple of time ... Maria - Mexing demands to know how Pai-tachi got back so early, and Pai explains that they found Maria early because she fainted upon seeing Fei-Oh. Mexing accidents hits the back of Yakumo, who isn't moving. For a good reason, too, since Megan has decided to aim her gun at him. She also has decided that Yakumo is the demon. The senior demands to know why he was killing off girls named Maria, but Yakumo doesn't answer. Instead, he saves her from certain death! "Mist man" is apparently still alive, and decides to attack Megan! Megan, frightened, accidently shoot holes into Yakumo. Revealing his true form, the "mist man" knocks Mexing out of the building. Pai tries to save her, but she gets knocked off as well! Fei-Oh won't have this and tries to attack, but gets a hole punched into its "head"! Snatching Maria, the youkai jumps on the rooftop and seemingly escapes. Back inside, Megan is scared out of her wits. Yakumo applauds Takuhi for catching Pai and Mexing, then demands to Megan to bring her to the roof of the building. Megan is understandably shocked, but takes him upstairs anyway. Elsewhere, "mist man"/Avanku is having an ideal conversation with Spazug, who orders him not to kill the Maria he'd captured yet. Back to Yakumo, he's explaining things to Megan, and Megan asks if the girl lost a mother when she was young. Yakumo is shocked that she knows of this, but has no time to ask! Avanku has reappeared, and has Maria sucked into its stomache! Avanku's Death Date - Yakumo demands Avaku to free Maria since she and the other 4 had nothing to do with Madurai. Avanku attacks Yakumo in return. Yakumo wants to use Beast Magics, but Maria is too close to Avanku. Avanku tells the Wu that he'll exchange Maria for the REAL Maria -- Madurai's descedant. Yakumo obviously doesn't know, so Avanku knocks him to the building's wall. The fat guy climbs up to Megan and asks her where the real Maria is. Megan knows not, of course, so Avanku attacks. However, before he could even touch her, he gets half his face blown off -- by Mexing! Mexing pulls Maria out of Avanku's stomache and gives her to Megan. Megan tells her to hold on and goes off to apparently fetch something. Suddenly, Avanku's claws attacks! But Yakumo holds him off with a can of Oolong tea. Yakumo prepares to use Kuan-Yaa, but Avanku pulls him off the ground! Suddenly, Megan returns and slices the fat guy with a very familiar looking sword!!! Yakumo takes this opportunity to blast half of Avanku's body off with Kuan-Yaa!! Stronger - As powerful as Kuan-Yaa may be, it could not hold off Avanku!! Even with half of his body blown off, Avanku still manages to grab Megan and excitedly announces to Spazug that he had found the real Maria!! Of course, Sanjiyan arrives and won't have this. She blows the fat guy into a bizillion pieces. Later, as everyone is recovering, Megan begins to spill her story. Her childhood name was "Maria Connelly", and she lost her mother 10 years ago. She had dyed her hair black and received the sword from her father. Finally, Megan/Maria decides to bring them to her home to see her father, Madurai!! At this point, Mexing decides that she will stay, but she knows that Pai-tachi are holding out stuff on her. Later, as Pai-tachi reaches Madurai's place, they get to watch a good old Thai kickboxing fight ... Connelly - The kickboxing fight begins, and the guy with the #13 stamped on his head is obviously a more superior fighter than the other. Yakumo is fascinated by this, but as Pai points out -- "what's this got to do with Madurai"? Maria goes off to fetch her old man, and Yakumo is a bit worried because the guy looks like a mafia boss. "Madurai" offers them a seat, and Yakumo offers the old man to take a look at his forehead. He ignores the Wu, of course, since he seems more tuned into the fight. Yakumo persists by asking him what the method to sealing Benares is, but "Madurai" decides that he wants to hug his "money tree" fighter instead. Maria suggests to the Wu to try again tomorrow, and will get them a room. Yakumo still insists, but Pekinpaa informs him that "Miss. Pai" is quite tired. Pai wakes up, half drooling and asleep, but still offers to go anywhere. Yakumo gives in, telling Pai that their search has ended for the day, and that she should go and have a big meal! In his mind, he wonders why the old man didn't respond to him when he said the words "Wu" and "Benares". Later that night, Yakumo sneaks off in search for Maria's father, and spots a picture of the Wu Madurai in a room!! This concludes it; the old man does indeed carry the blood of that Madurai. He then overhears a conversation by Maria and her father, but the old man catches him! He orders his thugs to takes Yakumo's money and sent him out of the house. Yakumo, in desperate measures, offers to fight in a match to earn money for the old man Madurai!! The Information Trader Pekinpaa - Back in their room, Pekinpaa is up, smoking and staring into who-knows-what. Pai wakes up as well, and wonders why "Gutless Uncle" isn't sleeping. Pekinpaa tells the story of his life in reply; he and his younger brother used to own a petting office in London. One day, Madurai/Connelly decided drop by and asks them to bet in a fight. Pekinpaa's younger brother thinks that it is a great chance, but it was anything but that. Pekinpaa lost the bet, and with that, he lost everything he had. Pai apologizes for dragging him with them, but Pekinpaa assures her that it's alright! He likes people like her and would go anywhere with her and Yakumo. Just then, Pai asks Pekinpaa if he knew where Yakumo went, and the Gutless One tells her that he'd sneaked out earlier. At that moment, Maria walks in and tells the two to escape! Apparently, Yakumo has finally gone off the deep end and has angered Connelly! Speaking of the Wu, Connelly thinks Yakumo is of no money value and has sent his thugs to dispose of him. Yakumo, of course, has no real trouble at all of disposing them. He then uses a very low powered Kuan-Yaa to blast off one of Connelly's walls. However, Connelly isn't impressed, and if anything, this caused him NOT to use Yakumo in a fight even more!! The reason being that if such a fight were to occure, Connelly could be labelled as using fake tricks! Just then, Maria, Pai and Pekinpaa walks in! The Gutless One announces that if Connelly books the fight, he'd bet $60,000 pounds!! He doesn't want money should he wins, but the way to defeat Benares! Yakumo K.O - In the training room, Maria scolds at the fact that Yakumo is booked to fight the Thai guy with the #13 stamped on his head. Yakumo says that he'd be fine, and Maria asks if he'll use what he used back when he was fighting Avanku. Maria then goes on to reveal that her father's first name is "Sean", and Yakumo gets a weird look at the fact that the old man's name is "Sean Connelly". Just then, #13's training partner becomes useless and the fighter sents him back home. The training partner begs his "older brother" not to send him back, and he gets a nice taste of Athlete's Foot in reply. #13 decides to try out his new dummy -- Yakumo!! The two will apparently have a practice match. Within a few seconds, Yakumo gets his arm broken and would've gotten his face, too, if it wasn't for the fact that #13's younger brother stopped the assault! Still wanting to prove his worth, he knocks out Yakumo!! The guy asks his brother if that was good enough, but #13 continues to answer with his foot! Gong - Yakumo finally wakes up from the nap provided by #13's brother. Pai is with him since her lap was basically his bed. Yakumo wonders just how strong #13 may be since he was K.O'ed by his brother so easily. Suddenly, the duo hears a disruption going on as well as a familiar sounding voice. They wonder if the voice could somehow belong to ...... Ling-Ling!?!? Indeed. The great one from Yougekisha has arrived to cheer Yakumo on! However, this was no time for a happy reunion, oh, no. Yakumo immediately asks Ling-Ling if she knew Thai kickboxing, and she replies so. But there's no time for her to teach him because one of Connelly's thugs informs Yakumo that he has been ordered to fight NOW!! Yakumo tells him that the fight was scheduled for tomorrow, but the thug says that his boss changed his mind when Ling-Ling stepped in!! Yakumo still refuses the fight, and the thug must go as far as to threaten Pai's wellfare. Meanwhile, Pekinpaa is in a bar somewhere, wondering about his huge bet. Back to Yakumo, he, Maria, and Ling-Ling are worried because Yakumo didn't have the proper time to train. Ling-Ling then suggests that Yakumo fight without boxing gloves. The match promptly begins, with Thai fighter #13 introduced. Pai is seen in a bunny suit resembling that of a Playboy bunnies', and Yakumo is understandably distracted from this. He gets into the ring, and the fight begins! Also, for some reason, Ling-Ling always seems to stare at Connelly ...... Battle - The fight begins, and Yakumo's face is smashed into different angles. After a few hits, Yakumo runs off the ring and into Ling-Ling. She tells him that he can't get running from the fight, and that his best strategy is to take as much hit as possible until #13 is tired out. Yakumo gets back into the ring and absorbs more hits. He even gets his neck broken at one point. Connelly is about to announce the fight over and tells Pai that she's "his woman now", but Ling-Ling tells him that Yakumo isn't down yet! Yakumo gets on his feet, and #13 cannot believe his eyes. He lays a few more hits at the Wu, but Rocky stands up again and again! Back to Ling-Ling, she had apparently pulled a knife to Connelly's neck and threatens him to be quiet ... Opportunity For Victory - Connelly demands to know what Ling-Ling wants from him; money? the kid? Speaking of Yakumo, he's still getting up from the punches and kicks, but his body is slowly breaking down. He still isn't fast enough to see #13's punches and kicks. #13, of course, is getting more and more psyched with each hit. Yakumo decides this is the right time to attack, but #13 uses his elbow in reply. Both elbows come in contact, and both are apparently broken. #13 continues to supply hits, but Yakumo finally repells and knocks #13's jaw with an uppercut of his own!! #13 kicks, but misses. His next punch, though, makes contact with Yakumo's head. Pai is extremely worried, but Maria informs her that the match is done with; Yakumo has seen #13's fighting style and it's only a matter of time before he wins. Yakumo continues to take hits, but finally, with a final punch -- "Rising Dragon Punch" -- he knocks down #13!! Pai looks for Ling-Ling to celebrate, but she's apparently too busy grabbing onto Connelly's shoulder with her ... clawed hand? Back to Yakumo, it's finally his turn to fight, and he's doing rather well. #13 is seen knocked onto the ground several times, even!! On the other hand, Pai is glaring angrily at "Ling-Ling" ...
