Has a split personality; the cute and adorable Pai, and the arrogant and powerful Parvati IV. She only appears as a child in this volume. Yakumo Fujii - The Wu of Pai/Parvati. Yakumo is a 17 year old (technically) "normal" HS student turned immortal. He "loses" his Wu status in this volume. Haan Hazart - The magic merchant Yakumo encountered during his search for Pai. It is from him where Yakumo gets his Beast Magics. Has apparently shown affection for Pai. Kaiyanwang/Shiva - Pai's former fiance, and the current Kaiyanwang. It was him that was responsible for the death of most of the Sanjiyan Unkara. Parvati III - Pai's mother. She is logical, kind, and very opinionated. Has a tough Wu named Madurai. Madurai - Parvati III's Wu. She carries around a BIG sword, and is seemingly Ganesa's rival. Ganesa - The Wu of the Deformed Kaiyanwang. Ganesa knows enough Beast Magic to get him around as respectable. Deformed Kaiyanwang - Not the same person as Shiva, but the Kaiyanwang that was before him. He has 4 arms, small, and quite deformed. Summaries: The Illusion of the Seima Part 1 - Sanjiyan is upset with Yakumo and decides to find a way to eliminate him of his Wu status! She even goes as far as calling forth Kaiyanwang from the Seima Stone for the method! Kaiyanwang's image suddenly appears from the stone ... The Illusion of the Seima Part 2 - Kaiyanwang is summoned, and at last, he and Yakumo finally comes face to face! Sanjiyan is attracted to Shiva still after all these years, and the two shares a kiss. Of course, Yakumo won't have this and attacks Kaiyanwang, as well as blowing up his camp ... The Illusion of the Seima Part 3 - Pai is in the hospital, and seems to be in a deep coma. Haan finally arrives, and boy is he upset with Pai's current state! He quickly finds Yakumo and tells him that Pai's consciousness is being compressed by a strong will (aka: Shiva). Haan also reveals that, unless they go into her mental memory and "wake her up", Pai may never awaken physically again! The Illusion of the Seima Part 4 - Inside Pai's memory, Yakumo and Haan find themselves caught in the middle of a struggle with Parvati III and her Wu, Madurai! Yakumo decides to help, but finds out that he is unable to summon Kuan-Yaa, as well as an arrow in his shoulder ... The Illusion of the Seima Part 5 - Yakumo's shoulder doesn't heal, and Haan checks up on him. It is then revealed that Yakumo lost his Wu status! Just then, the two are found by Ganesa and captured. Later, Ganesa demonstrates his ruthless personality and decides to kill Yakumo and Haan! The Illusion of the Seima Part 6 - Ganesa continues his assaults on Yakumo and Haan, but Yakumo decides that he won't be a pushover! With a sword, he manages to rip off the cloth that covered Ganesa's face. It is then revealed that Ganesa, too, is a Wu! Yakumo is puzzled by this -- isn't Kaiyanwang's Wu supposed to be Benares? Later, the two manages to escape and disguise themselves as soldiers. As they advance into Kaiyanwang's special room, they find something very wrong with Kaiyanwang -- there's a Kaiyanwang sitting on his throne, but it isn't Shiva at all!! The Illusion of the Seima Part 7 - This Kaiyanwang is a deformed Sanjiyan with 4 arms! Yakumo points this out, and the Deformed Kaiyanwang spots him immediately. He orders Ganesa to "take out the trash", and Yakumo and Haan are off to escape from the Elephant Wu again! This time, the two receives help from a familiar looking little Sanjiyan girl. They ultimately escape, and meets Madurai and Parvati III again. Suddenly, one of Parvati III's men shouts that Shiva has arrived ... !! The Illusion of the Seima Part 8 - Shiva appears indeed, and Yakumo is lost in a world of confusion. Were there two different Kaiyanwang?!?! Parvati III asks Shiva if he had come to take them back to the Deformed Kaiyanwang to be humanified, but Shiva doesn't answer. The little girl that helped Yakumo and Haan earlier wakes up from her sleep, spots Shiva, and goes off to hug him! Yakumo tries to stop this, but Shiva takes off with little Parvati IV! Parvati III is also captured by a demon ... The Illusion of the Seima Part 9 - Answers are revealed as Yakumo and Haan questions Madurai. Madurai demands to know whose side Yakumo is on, and promptly challenges him to a fight! Yakumo shows that he is just as good as Madurai, and the two plots an attack to retrieve Parvati III and IV ... The Illusion of the Seima Part 10 - Ganesa is punishing some poor slaves, and little Parvati IV is disturbed by this. She demands that the Elephant Wu stop, and Ganesa turns his attention to her instead. Shiva steps in, and asks Ganesa to forget it. Shiva and Parvati IV then engages themselves in a conversation, and it seems that the Deformed Kaiyanwang had chosen he and Parvati III to participate the Humanification Ritural. Shiva and Parvati III are to become human while the Deformed Kaiyanwang is to receive a new charge of power. As the Humanification Ritural begins, Madurai, Yakumo and Haan begins their attack ... The Illusion of the Seima Part 11 - Yakumo and Madurai finds themselves busy; Madurai with Ganesa and Yakumo with the demon that captured Parvati III earlier. Suddenly, little Parvati IV finds herself captured by Ganesa!! The Illusion of the Seima Part 12 - Ganesa threatens to kill Parvati IV if Madurai and Yakumo continues their assault. Madurai attacks Ganesa, but Ganesa gets the best of her. Yakumo watches the Humanity Ritural, and it is here that he understands that 3 Sanjiyan are required for the Ritual to perform ... in other words, he and Pai may never become human ... !!! The Illusion of the Seima Part 13 - Elsewhere, Madurai and Parvati III's men informs Haan of the same thing; that 3 Sanjiyan are required to perform the Humanity Ritural. Back with Yakumo, Yakumo realizes this sad truth and decides to kill off Shiva while he's vulnerable in the Humanity Ritural state ...
