Chapter Seventeen:


Radio: You were struck down, it was your doom. Annie, are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, 
Annie? Annie, are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie? ... you've been hit by, you've 
been struck by, a smooth criminal!

In Amara's laboratory, Ushasu was still stalking Yakumo and Pai. The two had tried every 
existing form of reasoning possible with the woman, but she had already transformed and lost all 
her common senses. So now, Yakumo decided that it was finally time to retaliate.

However, it was a little late to make such an important decision. Without even knowing it, he 
accidently knocked down the tube in which Little Amara was stored he backed away. The tube 
crashed onto the floor, making a rather loud CLASH!!

The noise caused Ushasu to wake up from her transformation, Amara to wake up from shock, Shiva 
to look up, and Sanjihaan and Latori's undivided attention. Beads of sweat formed on the back of 
Yakumo's head as a nervous expression took over his face.

Yakumo (O_O;;;): Eep.

Ushasu (looks around): What's going on here?

Immediately, Skinny Amara zoomed with extreme speed and stood right in front of the destroyed 
tube. He stared at it in disbelief. Shiva, Latori, and Sanjihaan walked forward and surrounded 
the mess. Together they surrounded Yakumo and Pai.

Amara (stares): W-what h-happened!?!?

As if to add insult to injury, Yakumo accidently slipped on the tube water and fell down face 
first onto the unconscious Little Amara! Skinny Amara's eyes bugged out and he screamed in 
shock as he saw this action.

Amara (O_O;;): W-WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?!?

The very second after Amara screamed the final syllible, Little Amara began to glow a bright 
white. Amara's eyes grew even wider as he saw this. Almost instantly, he ran out of the lab and 
away to who-knows-where.

Yakumo pulled himself off and dusted himself. His shirt and pants were stained from the blue 
and green lab water. He looked up to find Amara out the door and away somewhere, out of sight.

Yakumo (O_o): Geez, it wasn't that big a deal. I'll get him a new tube.

At that point, Ushasu gasped and a fearful look began to take over her face. She had just 
remembered something dreadful. She backed away slowly. Yakumo, Pai, Latori, Sanjihaan, and Shiva 
all looked at her with confused expressions. Then, without further hesitations, the Sanjiyan 
Goddess ran out of the lab with speed identical to Amara's.

However, before she ran out of the door, she paused, turned her head slighty and stared at 
everyone else. The others gave her a spaced out look. O_-;;;

Ushasu (O_O;;): Uhm ... for your safety, I'd suggest you guys get out of here like I'm doing 
now. I just remembered that when I sealed Amara's powers into that little guy, I also set a 
bomb into him that will activate should he become free from the tube ......

Shiva (O_O): ... A BOMB!?

Without saying anything else, Ushasu took off and went out of sight. Shiva, with equvilent 
speed, also ran off with the Ningen no Zou in his arms. Sanjihaan grabbed and lifted an 
unsuspecting Latori off the floor and ran out of the lab with her in his arms. Pai also ran off 
after them, without realizing that Yakumo hadn't even moved.

Yakumo (scratches head): A bomb?

Being a bit slow, Yakumo had to think about the word and what it meant at first. But by now, it 
finally registered in his mind. His mind associated the word with "explosion", "pain", and 
"death". So instantly, he ran out of the lab along with everybody else.

Or so he tried. Just before he could make it out the door, all the windows and doors at the lab 
suddenly shut down. Heavy steel plates dropped from nowhere, locking Yakumo within. And then, 
Little Amara's flashed several different shades of white, yellow, and green. Finally, it 
exploded, blowing off the root of the laboratory and everything else in it ... including Yakumo!

Pai, Ushasu, Shiva, Amara, Sanjihaan, and Latori watched from across the street and in front of 
the Satan Mansion. Amara had a remote control in his hand, and it became obvious that he was 
responsible for locking Yakumo in. Strangely, they noticed that instead of bright red flames, 
there was a green flame. Instead of pitch black smoke, it was blue. What's going on here??

Everyone inside Satan Mansion had heard the explosion, and were on their way out to check out 
what happened. This included Youko, Haan, and Mr. Satan. Benares had also just walked inside 
from the back door. He made a 90 degree turn, reopened the door, and walked back out.

As he stepped back into the field, he noticed an approaching Neko-chan. Her injuries were 
already healed due to her immortal Wu power, but her clothes were still torn. Benares stood in 
front of the back door and waited for her. When she finally made it to the door, Neko noticed 
Benares and raised one of her eyebrows. Benares smirked in response.

Neko-chan (O_o;;): Uhmm ... you're still out here? I thought you'd be inside the mansion by 
now.

Benares (smirks): I was, but then I came back out because of the explosion. But you're one to 
talk ... you're still staggering!

Neko-chan (growls): Grr ... I was heavily injured, that's why!

Benares' smirk grew wider upon hearing that. Neko-chan glared at him, and then decided to change 
the subject.

Neko-chan (glares): Anyway, I'm going to check out that explosion. You coming?

At the point, Benares' face twisted into an expression of confusion (hey, that rhymed). The Wu 
looked around as if looking for something. Neko-chan looked at him.

Neko-chan (?): Uhm ... what's wrong now?

Benares (confused): Where's the explosion?? I thought it was out here!?

Comically, Neko-chan dropped to the ground with one hand raised. It twitched, a demonstrating 
the annoyance she felt at that moment. A second later, she pulled herself up, her face expressing 
the irritation she felt. She wiped the beads of sweat off her face. Oo;;

Neko-chan (=_=;;;): You idiot! Anybody could tell that the explosion came from near the FRONT 
door, not the back door! You may be powerful, you're certainly lacking up there!

Benares (scratches head): ........

Benares was obviously still confused. He looked at Neko-chan with a blank look. Neko smacked 
her forehead and sighed. That irritated look remained on her face as she began to walk towards 
the back door.

Neko-chan (sighs): Just shut up and follow me.

Everybody was gathered by the front gate. They all stared at the chaos across the street. Fire 
and smoke filled the laboratory. At this point, Youko and Haan walked out of Satan Mansion and 
saw Pai, Ushasu, Latori, Shiva, and Sanjihaan. They walked over to them and watched. Mr. Satan 
climbed out and his eyes bugged out when he saw the fire.

Mr. Satan (points at fire): F-f-fire!! Why aren't any of you idiots putting it out!?

He was ignored. Either that, or no one was brave enough to go near the fire. By now, Pai noticed 
that Yakumo was nowhere to be found. She looked around and still didn't see him. She panicked.

Pai (panics): Yakumo!? Where's Yakumo!?

Upon hearing Pai, Youko and Haan looked around and saw that she was right! Yakumo was missing! 
But where was he!? At that point, Amara had a nervous look on his face.

Haan (looks at Pai): Pai! Where was the last place you saw him!?

Pai thought for a bit, and then she gasped in shock. No, he couldn't be ... but where else 
would he be!? Reluctantly, she raised her hand and pointed at the laboratory. Youko and Haan's 
jaws dropped.

Pai (points at fire): He's still in there!! But how!?

Suddenly, Amara dropped his remote control. Everybody looked at him, and he whistled innocently. 
Each person had a look of suspicion on their faces.

Latori (looks at remote): Umm ... Amara, what's that?

Amara (whistles): Uhhh ... nothing! It's just a little remote, that's all!

Pai (gasps): Oh no! Pai remembers hearing something locking in the factory after Pai ran out!

Amara (O_O): Urk.

Ushasu (slaps forehead): Oh, you've gotta be kidding me!

Youko: T-tell me he didn't ...

At this point, Benares and Neko-chan walked out of Satan Mansion and joined the others. Benny 
walked next to Shiva, and Kaiyanwang explained to him what had happened. Neko-chan walked up 
to Latori, and asked her what was going on. Sanjihaan butted in.

Sanjihaan (points at Amara): That idiot killed Yakumo!

Neko-chan (confused): Who's Yakumo?

Then, as if answering her question, walking out of the burning building unscathered was the 
immortal Wu himself. Only he looked ... different. His skin appeared to have been bleached, 
and his fingers were now long and pointly. The pupils in his eyes had disappeared, and his 
eyes changed shape. They looked more demonic.

Yakumo (waves): Hey, what's up?

The Wu walked his way out of the fire and smoke and into the crowd. Pai ran off and gave him a 
embracing hug. Haan and Youko ran up to them and checked on him. Shiva raised an eyebrow, as 
did his mother. Benares stood next to them with a confused look. Amara's mouth dropped in utter 
shock. Latori watched in awe, with Sanjihaan next to her. Sanjihaan had one arm on her shoulder, 
and Neko-chan glared at him. Mr. Satan saw this and also expressed his annoyance. I didn't miss 
anyone else, did I? ^^;;;

Pai (happily): Yakumo is okay! Yakumo is okay!

Haan (points at Yakumo): Yeah, he is, but what happened?

Yakumo (confused): Eh?

Yakumo looked over his hands and saw how pale and pointy his fingers were. Hmmmmmm ...

Yakumo (hmm): Well, I do look a little different.

Now, while it was oblivious to everyone else, Amara knew exactly what had happened. After all, 
he HAD been watching his power storage tank for years and figured out what was going on upon 
seeiing the new Yakumo.

Amara (points at Yakumo): You idiot! Don't you know that you've merged with my storage 
system!? You now possess all of my magic, spells, and other powers that Ushasu sealed into 
mini-me!!

Yakumo (gasps): What!?

Everyone became surprised/shocked/stunned ... for a few seconds. How come? Well, after that 
fraction of time passed, Yakumo suddenly "transformed" back to his old, plain looking self. 
His eyes were narrow again. His fingers had returned to human shapes.

Yakumo (confused): Uhhh ... the hell?

Everyone else: ........

Haan (raises eyebrow): Alright, that was weird.

Amara (sobs): In any case, I've lost all my powers!! All of it!! Waaahhh!!

Ushasu (scoffs): Oh, come on, you wimp! Don't cry over such trivial things!

Suddenly, Amara wiped his tears and focused his attention on Ushasu. He glared at her angrily. 
Ushasu was surprised, and raised her eyebrow at him.

Amara (glares): You! You did this to me! If you hadn't sealed off my powers, this would've never 
happened!

Shiva saw this and immediately came into her mother's defense.

Shiva (points at Yakumo): Hey, it was that idiot's fault! He knocked over the tank!

Upon hearing this, Pai came to Yakumo's defense.

Pai (points at Amara): Hey! It was Amara-san that locked the doors!

Amara defended himself, of course, since nobody really liked him enough to help. Well, except 
me, but then I'm busy typing this story.

Amara (points at Shiva): Oh yeah!? Well, it was his fault! If I hadn't created him, then none 
of what Ushasu did would've ever happened!

Yakumo (scratches head): Come to think of it, everything that happened to us IS Shiva's fault, 
anyway.

For some reason, Youko defended Shiva, to the shock of everyone. Especially Haan Hazrat.

Youko (...): Umm, if I remember correctly, Ushasu was the one that wanted to create Shiva in 
the first place ...

Haan (shocked): Youko! You're helping the enemy!!

Youko (looks down): Sorry, Haan.

And of course, Ushasu defended herself from the shift of blame.

Ushasu (points at Latori and Mr. Satan): Hey, wait a minute! If Latori didn't marry that 
moron, then I wouldn't have been pressured to create Shiva! So it's her fault!

Latori (shocked): What!?

At that point, Sanjihaan, with his arm still around Latori's shoulder, pulled her forward. 
Mr. Satan clearly fumed from this action, and glared at the both of them.

Sanjihaan (snickers): You know what? I blame Mr. Satan. Just like Ushasu said, if he hadn't 
married my woman, then she wouldn't have been pressured. So, all in all, it's Mr. Satan's 
fault!

Mr. Satan (!?): What!? How the hell did you shift the blame to me!? I don't even know half of 
you people! And what are you doing with my wife, anyway?!

Sanjihaan (suave): You mean MY wife.

Mr. Satan (!!): WHAT!?

Sanjihaan (smirks): Oh, you didn't know? Your wife's leaving you for me, the superior man.

Then without another word, Sanjihaan suddenly grabbed Latori's hand and ran off! But to where? 
That's where Mr. Satan and Neko-chan would like to know! Sanjihaan ran down the street, with 
Latori dragging behind until they were out of sight.

Neko-chan (!): Hey, you idiot! Let go of my master!

Neko quickly dashed off to follow Sanjihaan. That idiot! How dare he kidnap Latori! Mr. Satan 
also followed, but with a pace much slower than Neko-chan. Everyone else just stared at the 
scene in disbelief/shock/surprise.

Yakumo (O_o;;): Uhh, what the hell just happened?

Youko (rubs chin): A shift of storyline, perhaps?
