Planted Truth

Within the depths of my heart, chambers of my soul,
Burns saving truth crying out intensely to be set free,
A question not of my existence but why I am on my knees;
There long ago, a King has died for the nations and there has made me whole.

What more can I ask for when I was destined for eternal death and dreadful sorrow,
Redeemed and bought for in undefiled blood no other could have died,
Jesus came in ultimate sacrifice, love abounding in oceans wide,
Just so that I can live for tomorrow.

In meditated response of thankfulness I kneel before my King,
Still and silent by His soft whispers that comfort me,
As He guides my life to ways everlasting from captivity,
So then must my heart give joyful thanks and my soul to sing.
