Deliver me, O God,
From this treachery of blinding sin.
Remove this putrid stench from my heart,
With the replenishing of Your engaging holiness.

Bring my wretched heart to fearful repentance,
Free me of my selfish flesh desire.
To respond to the magnificent grace You have shown,
Only with sacrifices of a broken heart and contrite spirit.

Deliver me into Your presence,
May I know the comfort and abiding truth.
Finding myself lost in a sea of worship,
May only words of prayer be spoken from me.

Deliver this unworthy servant,
A soldier dedicated to Your cause.
Yet inadequate in every dimension,
You have shown me mercy.
