Nothing I can see but these colorful spots,
Darkness invades my sight.
Timid to move, in fear of where I’m going,
Without guidance, I’m shot.
In a world of many peoples carefree,
I feel all alone.
Obscurity swallows up direction,
Isolated in solitude because I can’t see.
Lift off this blindfold of life,
Show me a light so bright.
I need to follow something good,
Cut through this darkness like a knife.
Can’t rely on strange, misleading voices,
I’ve followed them before.
I believe I need a light as a candle in blackness,
Light over dark, a joy of all choices.
