Here we go -- listed below are some general guidelines to make all of our lives easier as we progress through the school year. I just want to make sure we are all on the same page and understand each other.
GENERAL CLASSROOM RULES:
Basically, there are no hard and fast "rules."  You are asked simply to respect yourself, respect your classmates, and respect your teacher.  You know what this means, so I shall not go into detail.  Essentially, the class is based on each others' ideas, so you are not to be rude or disrespect anyone in the room.  Without this concept, the class will amount to nothing; with this concept, it will be magical.

Come prepared to class.  Don't ask me for a pencil, a pen, or a piece of paper.  I don't have extra school supplies, nor am I Wal-Mart.  Don't ask to go to your locker to get your supplies or books because I won't let you.  Something you need to learn is responsibility, and I, as your teacher, have a responsibility to teach you to be responsible, so come to class prepared.  Also, be on time so we can get things going right away.

Also, you are big boys and girls, so go potty before you come to class.  Make sure you don't fall in, flush, and wash your hands.  Get a drink of water if you need one after you are done.  Then come to class.

GRADING:
It's pretty simple.  Half of your grade is based on your homework and daily assignments, half of your grade is based on tests, quizzes, and essays.  You end up with a percentage, and your grade is assigned as follows:

          90-100     A
          80-89       B
          70-79       C
          60-69       D
          0-59         F

Pretty simple huh?  That's why I am an English teacher, not a math teacher.
IT'S SIMPLE:
BE COOL
DO YOUR WORK
AND WE'LL GET ALONG JUST FINE!
