               HOMEWORK: Read Chapter 2.  How does the 1st person
               narrative affect the reader's perception of Meursault?

Week 3
9/16     Pizzo visit; discussion about homework and how to make it
               better
9/17     Discussion of Chapter 2, focussing on homework question.


9/18     In-Class Essay Writing I: Use the last sentence of chapter two
               as a starting point describing its significance in terms of the
               novel.  Today was for organization and sharing of ideas.

9/19     In-Class Essay Writing II: Working on the actual writing of the
               essays, beginnings, middles, ends, writing techniques, etc.
9/20     Essay discussions, proofreading; talk about chapters 3&4

Week 4
9/23     Discussion based on 1st half of book -- focus on love vs. lust
               and how the characters deal with those feelings/impulses/
               whatever they are
9/24     Friendhsip discussion/prep work on 1st major oral presentation
9/25     More prep work on  oral presentations
9/26     Give oral presentations
9/27     Give oral presentations
