Miles Davis "Kind of Blue" (1959)
Need to chill out? Cool Down? Unwind?
Reach for Kind of Blue and feel the vibes.
Jimi Hendrix "Experience Hendrix" (1998)
This has most of the songs that everyone should have. A remastered Little Wing is
truly a work of art. Check out the purple velvet suit. Don't make them like they used to
Smashing Pumpkins "Siamese Dream" (1993)
Unreal. Siamese Dream has flawless guitar arrangements, insane editing, and mind-blowing drumming. It doesn't get any better than this.
Portishead "Roseland NYC Live" (1998)
Trip Hop heroes backed by a live orchestra. Portishead has a very mysterious sound that gave birth to a whole genre of music. This album is the band's showpiece as is it contains music from both of their studio projects.
Lenny Kravitz "Mama Said" (1991)
Lenny is one cool cat. Don't listen to the 'critics'- Kravitz rocks. You will probably be all "now way, Kravitz wrote this song!?" when you listen to the abundant hits on Mama Said.
Radiohead "OK Computer" (1997)
This masterpiece would stir up some serious paranoia in crazies. Get this one or Thom Yorke will wink his wonky eye at you!
Tom Petty & the Hearbreakers "Greatest Hits" (1994)
Tom and the boys were rockin' since before disco went out of style (the first time). Look at the band lighting each other's cigarettes.  Couldn' they wait until after the photo shoot?

Is This It
The Strokes "Is This It" (2001)
Julian Casablancas and the boys from New York pick up where Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground left off. What a great debut album, every track is fantastic.
WhiteBloodCells
White Stripes "White Blood Cells" (2002)
Jack and Meg White comprise this two piece band that is a hybrid between rock, country, and blues. Two musicians, three genres...now that is talent. This album gets off to a kicking start with Dead Leaves and finishes with a soft piano melody. In between in quite a ride.
Doors
The Doors "The Best of The Doors" (1985)
The poetic lyricism of Jim Morrison and chilling yet relaxing sound of the Rhodes keyboard gave the doors their timeless sound. This two disc set (by no means comprehensive) is jammed full of hits, including some live variations.
New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular
Hooverphonic "A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular"(1998)
Although the long-winded title is pretentious, it is quite the fitting title. This is an intelligent and experimental album (a sound that the group has since moved away from). Liesje Sadonius' voice is angelic and she compliments both the hard and soft beats with her melody.
