This is a bigger view of my planned layout. Some of the keys need to do the ALT or CTRL function to control the GPS program, rather than elaborate software hacks, I am just going to use DPDT switches, one pole wired to ALT (or CTRL) The other to the keyboard function (like arrow keys). For more flexibility I am adding a switch that will enable the ALT function for the keys that need it (arrow keys, pg up, pg down, tab) and I can turn it off to use the keys normally.
The Winamp plugin I use uses the numeric keypad for its operation. |
