Education: I have a B.S. in Speech & Hearing Therapy from Purdue University ('76). I have a Master of Arts in Christian education at Asbury Theological Seminary ('80).

Educational experiences: Having been in the field of Quality Assurance since 1984, I have had numerous Training Classes in Computer Related Programs (e.g., Harvard Project Management, MS DOS, etc.) provided by employers. I have taken some professionally related courses as well (e.g., Design of Experiment, Lead Auditor in ISO 9000 Quality Systems, etc.).

Positive learning experience: I appreciated my emphasis in behavioral development at Purdue, but my most influential training experience was from a Dr. Donald Joy who modeled nearly every training technique known to be effective.

Work Experience: My work experience has been one full time job related to my undergraduate degree and a number of part-time teaching positions too.

As for my Masters I held two full-time jobs.

I currently am consulting in the area of Quality System Development & Training.

Enduring Question

The purpose of education is two fold: 1) Present the cognitive concepts necessary to apply a trade in the day-to-day activities of life; and 2) Develop the skills necessary to perform the trade.
