mr_beanwell: Good evening, club members, and welcome to the second series of “Beanieday Night Live”. Before our show begins tonight, I would like to take a moment to be serious and pay respect to a great American who passed away two weeks ago today, Mr. Ronald Reagan. Here now to present his words is Mr. Reagan’s namesake Beanie Baby, Ronnie.

Ronnie: Thanks, Mr. Beanwell. Ty would never have created me if not for Ronald Reagan, as it was him whose cheerful and patriotic spirit helped America prosper. If not for him, we would not have ended the Cold War, and the Berlin Wall would still have separated East and West Germany. If it weren’t for him, we would not have female justices on the Supreme Court, as he nominated the first, Sandra Day O’Connor. We would not have experienced the prosperity that we have today if not for him. I don’t know if there will ever, in our lifetime, be another president like him.

Carnation: Actor, governor, and president, Ronald Reagan has done many good things for the U.S. that I don’t think I would ever do. He survived a gunshot just 69 days after he became president, and also had the courage to take on many issues that other politicians wouldn’t have fought against.

Rumba: Ronald Reagan was a leader, not a follower. He has lived up to that during his terms as the governor of California and our nation’s president.

Frisco: I think Ronald Reagan has been an inspiration to me in my work. He has been a hero to me, someone I would want to be in my life.

Huggins: I’m really going to miss Ronald Reagan. I wasn’t alive long enough to know the good things he has done for his country, but in my heart he will live forever.

Colosso: It’s a shame that Ronald Reagan never won his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. If I were there for him, since I’m an elephant, and an elephant never forgets, I would have tried to help him cope.

Fancy: A true American, Ronald Reagan will always be remembered and respected.

Orion: I wish there were more people like Ronald Reagan in the world. Then it would be a much better place.

Shasta: I think that I was made the way that I am because of Ronald Reagan.

Springfield: Ronald Reagan would have wanted it this way. Now that he’s gone, we can look back on the great things that he has done for us to turn away from the bad stuff that happens all the time around the world.

mr_beanwell: Farewell, Ronnie. God bless you. We will never forget what you have done for the country, and for the world. Your cheerful spirit and sense of pride is why tonight’s chat is dedicated to your memory.  And now, LIVE FROM BEANIE TRADE PALS, IT’S BEANIEDAY NIGHT!
