5th January: I haven't had a lot of time to write lately, so much has been going on. Alfie brought that nice Dr around to see me, but I can't remember his name. Anyway, it was all sorted out after my operation. I wish I could say the same for poor Alfie though. He was acting ever so strangly when i told him that his poor Kathleen didn't wan't to marry that other bloke, running around like a madman he was!
When he got her back I thought that everything would be fine, but of course he still hadn't divorced Liza. We all thought everything was fine, until I found him and Spencer in a right old panic on Christmas Day (It was my birthday by the way, I got some very nice presents). I told him that he couldn't keep lying to that poor girl and in the end he told her, although I did feel ever so sorry for him having to stop his wedding. But our Alfie never did do things easily.
Well at least now it's all sorted, and we've got a new addition to the family. I'm hoping we'll be hearing the patter of tiny feet soon...

20th August: I feel like such an old fool. I don't know what's happening to me and I'm very scared. Yesterday I was on my way to Bingo when I just lost my bearings. I remember I was looking for William, but I couldn't find him. I was ever so afraid, because I knew something was wrong and I couldn't stop it.
When Alfie found me I got into a right old state. I had just been sitting, you see, and I was just thinking.I don't know why I didn't go home, I was ever so confused. I got a bit upset, because that hadn't happened to me before, and Alfie got upset too. I don't like it when Alfie or Spencer get upset. I shall have to try and be more careful next time, but I'm very scared that it'll happen again and Alfie won't be there...

5th August: Kat's moved in with us now, and the place is looking like a tip already. It's such a mess but Alfie won't tell her about it. He says he hasn't found the right time and shes just making herself at home but I know it's really because he still has feelings for her. Anyway, I let it slip earlier when we were talking and I hope shes got the message. As much as I like that girl, I can't abide living in a rubbish dump.
I'm quite excited about this party on Thursday. I can't quite remember what it's about but I'm sure it'll be a lovely do. I was thinking of making a few cheese and ham sandwiches for the girls, but we haven't got that much bread in, and Alfie says it wouldn't really be their kind of thing. Maybe they're more tuna and cucumber people....

11th July: Well Alfie's gone and blown it now. I don't know what went on with him and Kat last night but he was in a right old state this morning. He spent hours trying to write her a letter, but I told him all he needed to do was to tell her that he loved her.
She came round this afternoon and told him that she wanted to be friends. I don't understand why, I thought that young girl really liked my Alfie. Anyway, I knew that she would change her mind if Alfie told her how he really felt. I tried to make him tell her but he didn't. Now I know he's going to be so unhappy.
I've told him before, he shouldn't hang about. He should've told her right from the very start. I only had a few precious months with my William, and I don't want Alfie to miss out on all the things I did....
I must remember to buy another loaf of bread. Spencer likes ten soldiers with his egg, not five.....
