How Alfie ended up at the Vic...
Alfie was in jail for 3 years for credit card fraud. On the day he was released, he was caught fare dodging on the tube, and was kicked off at the first stop. Walford East station.
Alfie soon managed to charm the regulars and ended up with the job of bar manager when Vic landlady Peggy Mitchell wrongly mistook him for the new manager Chris Wright.
Alfie talked the talk and managed to charm Kat Slater back behind the bar where she stayed as a barmaid. He soon invited his little brother Spencer and their Nana (Victoria) to live with him.
However, trouble came to light when ex copper Dougie Slade threatened to reveal Alfie's true identity to Peggy, unless he was paid to keep his mouth shut. Not having enough money to pay him, and not wanting to steal from Peggy, the Moons left Albert Square.
But not for long. Kat Slater managed to persuade Peggy to go round and give Alfie a chance to explain. After a long chat, he was offered his job back at the Vic. The rest, they say, is history!
