THE REAL DEMOLITION DERBY CARS
There are alot of demo model pictures here but if your looking for the real thing here it is. These are some of the shots that I took during the 2003 season. It was a great year for us and for my friends.  I was able to recieve alot of help from a really great pit crew. Without them my cars would not be possible.  Also a huge thanks to all the sponsors who have stood behind me and the support both technically and financially to make our cars some of the best. They help keep the cost of building a demo car low. Thanks for the tires, starters, belts, hoses, and everyting that had to go into getting the car out just one more time. As you can see I put alot of tech time into the cars but I also put some good art work on them too. I guess I didn't go to art school for nothing.
This is the 39.9 loaded up and ready to go to the derby. This is my friends car. We helped build it for his 40th birthday. It was alot of fun to build and I was even able to paint it up for him. It looks really good on the big trailer and the nice truck. This is one of my favorite pictures of all the pictures I have taken. This is my mr64magic car from September. We didn't do as well as I would have liked. I ran over a bumper and it poked a hole in the oil pan. Have you ever tried to weld oil? We did how ever get it patched up and back out to the final event.
Here is the KISS car from August. I named it Detroit Rock City. I had 3rd and 4th place finishes this year.  If I would have been a smarter driver I could have done alot better after watching the derby on TV the next day. This is the same car that you clicked on to get to this page.
Here is the demo40's car (my brother.) I was able to help out with it. He came up with the paint idea and I did the air brushed flames. This is the first wagon we have ever tried. It lasted the one derby and had a second place finish but there wasn't much left after to haul away. We'll see if I've learned anything this year when I build another wagon.
Here is a friend's polara. It has been through a few derbies. We shared some of the same sponsors and they helped us out in the arena.
Here is the back of the Detroit Rock City. I hand painted and air brushed all the art work on this car. It was a crowd favorite and I even had people taking pictures by my car before the derby.
