Seats:
I have a COBRA fiberglass seat mounted to a custom made braket utilizing the factory seat braket. Safety consists of a SCROTH Rally 4 harness (street legal).
Braket/Fitment:
A note about the seating position in the MKI is that the centerline of the seat is now where near the centerline of the braket. As you can see in the pic, the driver side of the braket is exposed, this is because my seat is pushed far far into the middle. I even had to remove my ashtray and cigarrete lighter to make room for the seat. I recommend that anyone wanting a seat to be carefull, even if it does come with pre-made brakets. Sure they seat will bolt in, but will the steering wheel be in front of you when you sit down? |
