4agze - Engine
Engine Mods consist of:
Nevo 175mm Pulley
Cold Air Intake (similar setup to MKI NA powermax mod)
Crane Cam Ignition Wires
Relocated Stock Intercooler
Aluminum Engine Lid with Two Fans
Autolite 3923 plugs (0.035 gap)
4age (NA) Throttle body + Machined Inlet

BTW: Compression check is 155psi +/- 3psi
I've had many questions as to performance inscrease with the IC relocation.  I recently went on a track day at Laguna Seca.  Everyone knows that Laguna is demanding in many ways.  I don't have facts, but i know that i'm running cool as boost pressures stay constant, always at 12.5psi..never more (meaning more heat).  For reference, another MKISC owner was there on the same day with a smaller HKS pulley.  And he commented that he would see his gauge go up to 14psi on the straights = HEATSOAK.

I'm pretty sure it's widely agreed that the stock location of the intercooler is well, sucky!  I had a permacool fan under there for a while, but it still didn't work that well.  I considered trunk mount, but I like having some cargo room.  Cons is that IC piping is increased by roughly 2 feet and i had to relocated the battery (but that is a plus in the end).  Pros is that the IC gets a constant supply of cool air form underneath and the Intake piping is MUCH shorter (similar to MKINA powermax mod).

I intend to fabricate a shroud or ducting for the IC in the future.

Above is an aluminum engine lid with a 10" permacool & 14" SPAL fan.  Both of them are pushing air out at a combined 3000CFM.  I could easily switch the permcool to pull cool air in as well which could provide cooler intake charge.  This setup provides much better flow characteristics over the factory engine lid.
