Now apparently the theme EVERYONE is pounding into the ground is individuality. Pop culture it seems has a problem in monopolizing ideas. Seemingly EVERY ARTIST HAS PICKED UP ON THIS.... and decided to make their record companies a shit load of money.
One that pisses me off with quite a disdain for rational thought is Gavin Degraw. His dumbass song "I don't want to be" Should be a suicide song followed by his death preferably from being mauled by a bear. Of course nothing that good would happen. So we are forced to listen to another whiny, bitching diatribe of "going against the grain". To be yourself and noone else. AWWWWW HOW FUCKING TOUCHING.
Unfortunately logic completely debases all of this. The song counterdicts itself in its own refrain via this statement "I don't want to be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately".

I think we all know why MTV doesn't play music anymore..... Instead they just pioneer reality TV which is just as hypocritical as this "identity crisis" motif strongly present in music today.
