the reason for this is the US spec lights use 1 double filament bulb to show the sidelights and the indicators.
our euro/jap lights ahve separate bulbs!
the US spec light unit has the position for the extra sidelight bulb moulded into the light unit.
after some careful work with the dremmel, the sidelight unit was fitted along with the indicator bulb and wiring from the euro/jap spec lights and it all works a treat!
Very happy with the end result!
