The Band was invited for the first time to participate in the 25th Anniversary of the Feast of San Gaetanu in Victoria. The feast was a great success with a Diiner Dance that had 700 guests and the Festa was very well attended. The St Albans Melita Band and the MQVB took part in the Procession and both rendered a great Musical Concert which was applauded well by the appreciative audience in the Parish Hall..

At the 2003 AGM three positions on the committee are left vacant, that of President, Vice President and Treasurer. The committee continued with the affairs of the band and half way through the year David Chetcuti, Chris Chetcuti, Carmen and Vennie Spiteri and Ross Borg joined the committee for the rest of the year. David took the position of President until he left for overseas in January and Carmen took over the position until the AGM in July 2004.
The AGM saw nearly all postitions filled with Carmen Spiteri being elected as President and Samantha Chivers taking the Secretary's Position and also that of Treasurer .
Pasquale and Rosemary continued with being Co-conductors, but gave their notice and resigned due to their own personal issues in February 2005.
Samantha Chivers took over the reigns, assisted by Joe Camilleri until such time as a New Musical Director is found. Sam's dedication to the MQVB is second to none and the musicians responded well at two very good performances at the St Paul's and Mnarja Feasts at Lockleys. The band was once again invited to the Feast of San Gaetanu in Melbourne and rendering another great performance. The band under the direction of Sam and Joe continued looking after the band at Feast of Our Lady Queen of Victories celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Statue and the St. Catherine Feast celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their Statue..
2006 marked the 25th Anniversary of the band. A new Musical Director has been appointed in January and Sharon Burgess got to work virtually right away to get the band in order for the first performance of the year at the St Paul's Feast at Lockleys and all the other band appointments and 25th Anniversary celebrations..
