I was born in Kansas City, Mo on March 27th. Both my parents were born in the Philippines and came to the United States at various stages in their lives. They both met in Kansas City and raised a family. I was your typical boy, always getting into trouble and causeing it as well. Of course being the oldest didn't fair well for my sisters. It's a good thing I had hobbies to keep me occupied. My interest in music started at the tender age of 2 when my parents bought me a marching snare drum... I was so excited that I put it on and marched up and down the hallway every day... I think they realized that it was a bad idea because I never saw that drum after a few weeks!!! I didn't see or touch another instrument till I was 7 or 8. That's when I started taking guitar lessons with a Sears acoustic...
Later in life I started playing in the elementary school band... Unfortunately I had to play something other than the drums becasue they were out... I think there was a plot with the music teacher and my parents... Oh well, playing the clarinet wasn't so bad because I sat next to a cute girl!!!
During my High School years I really got into music and played different instruments includeing the drums... It showed because I was the Drum Major my senior year and when I graduated, I got the John Phillip Sousa award and an audition for a music scholarship at Southwest Baptist College... Of course I didn't persue a music career but I continued to play as a hobby.
