                                      Un-Conditional Love

Love is a word of passion it is a word that stirs the deepest emotions, in everyone.

One can experience "love" in various forms: Parents to Child, Lover to Lover, Friend to Friend and God to his people. In Genesis, "The prodigal son" and "The good Samaritan” one can see the various forms of love expressed.

In Genesis god gives Adam everything he desires. He gives him the Garden of Eden, so he could care for it he gives him animals so he can rise. In giving Adam all these wonderful things God tells Adam "You may eat from every tree in the garden, but not from the tree of knowledge of good and evil; for on the day that you eat from it,

You will certainly die."  (p. 2 lines 16-18). God had also created a Woman for Adam so that he would not be alone, this woman was called Eve. Eve was not as smart as Adam and did not obey God’s order so she ate from the tree of knowledge.  God was very angry at Adam and Eve and he was angry at the fact that they did not obey his commands. Being God’s children God forbade them.  In Genesis it is stated that "The Lord god made tunics of skins for Adam and his wife and clothed them." (p. 4 lines 21-22). This can be clear to one that God did not turn his back on his children he clothed them, the difference in God is that he punished Adam and Eve but he did not abandon them and turn his back on them. The Protagonist in this work would be the Genesis God because he wants Adam and Eve to be good people and he wants them to obey his rules but they do not.

Un-Conditional love is a term that is used by every parent. In The Prodigal Son this is seen. Like God in the Genesis story, the father of the two young men doesn’t turn his back on his son because he has un-conditional love for him.  Even though the son did do wrong against his father the father still forgives him. This is because the son realizes what he did was wrong and on his own he is able to pick himself up. Unlike the Genesis story in which god has to point out the error that Adam and Eve did. The young man is able to pick himself up and see what he did was wrong; even though he was not punished he was rewarded instead. The theme in this story is "un-conditional love".

Love has no boundaries regardless of what kind of Love it is. In The Good Samaritan one can clearly see that. This story is about Loving strangers like you would like someone you love like God or a family member because love has no boundaries, and this is a for of un-conditional love. "Love is not restricted to ones people. The stranger who sojourns with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt". (Leviticus 19:34) this quote applies to The Good Samaritan because of its message. Even though in the story the men who one would think that would help the man up did not. The one who is the most humble and loving helps this man out and gives because he feels that this stranger is like family to him.

In the 3 Stories one can see that Un-conditional Love exists. Sometimes Love is like a role that we play, and in this role you must decide how you’re going to play. Therefore, making Un-Conditional love the most powerful form of "love".
