Shock rocker Marilyn Manson has announced some shows around his performances at the American leg of the touring rock extravaganza Ozzfest.
The Dark Lord played the first of nine non-festival dates at the weekend (Sunday June 10th) in Omaha, Nebraska and he will also be visiting New Orleans, Las Vegas, Michigan and Montreal.
The last of these unexpected shows will take place on August 9th at the Jones Beach Ampitheatre in Wantagh, New York where the star will join the bill for the final date of the 'Big Day Off' tour. The line-up includes other Ozzfest bands such as Slipknot, Papa Roach, Linkin Park and Disturbed.
Manson will continue to entertain America with his evil antics despite attempts from Christian groups to have him banned. The Citizens for Peace and Respect called for his Denver Ozzfest appearance to be scrapped claiming that his music had influenced Columbine High School killers Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris.
Marilyn responded to this request with the tounge-in-cheek promise that he would balance his songs with "a wholesome bible reading".
The remaining non-Ozzfest Manson dates are:
Birmingham, Ala. Sloss Furnace (June 14th)
New Orleans House of Blues (15th)
Las Vegas House of Blues (July 1st)
Norfolk, Va. Norva (10th)
Myrtle Beach, SC. House of Blues (11th)
Montreal Metropolis (23rd)
Grand Rapids, Mich. Devos Hall (August 2nd)
Wantagh, NY. Jones Beach (9th)
