- Minutes distributed, introductions
- Treasurer’s report
- Pumpkin Festival income = $8,406.15, about $1,000 more than last year. There were more expenses this year: police, new sign, prizes.
- Book Fair profit was $2,386.97. Next year our percentage of per book profit will decrease by 5%, but the quality of Scholastic’s books is better than the competitor’s. There was discussion of keeping the book fair open more hours next year.
- The new format of the Treasurer’s report was explained.
- Principal’s update
- Dr. Olson is looking for volunteers for the PAC (Principal’s Advisory Committee). This committee meets every six weeks to work on the school improvement plan.
- Playground
- Fill was obtained from the Melville Housing site
- The new kindergarten equipment is in installation Dec. 10, fibar spreading Dec. 17. Concrete expense is expected to be $300 – 400.
- Jim Bauer will be the new Playground Comm. Chair. MANY thanks to Rob Piper for his phenomenal effort and resourcefulness.
- Holiday Workshop
- Everything is ready, Santa to arrive at 7 p.m.
- Entertainment Books
- Discussion about this fundraiser lead to the decision not to pursue it next year. A replacement fundraiser will be discussed at a future meeting.
- Movie Night
- Still trying to find out the legalities of renting from Blockbuster’s. Possible movie for Jan. is Dinosaurs.
- Other Business
- Still looking for childcare for MPTG meetings – hope to secure someone for Jan. Meeting
