1. Donna Combra's class sent notes thanking MPTG for providing field trip funds for their Plimouth trip.

4. Principal's report

• The students enjoyed the Hemstead Players. This activity was MPTG funded.
• Reports cards will be sent home 11/1, the quarter ended early to facilitate preparation for parent conferences on 11/5.
• SALT visit will be 12/2-6.
• 11/26 - Thanksgiving Feast
• 12/11 - PHS choir

• proposals for remaining work being updated/revised
• motion made/approved to seal coat the basketball play area depending on feasibility

1. Book Fair

• Nov. 18 -21
• set up 11/15, grade raffles 11/22
• Clifford costume available
• kids preview Mon/Tues, buy Wed/Thur
• Scholastic cutting back on school profit, Lisa Bauer spoke to them and we will get our library allotment of $900 worth of books

1. Funding Requests

• Third grade teachers asked for $100 to cover the shortfall of their field trip. Motion approved and passed.
• Mrs. Dopart requested funds for a Mindstorm kit to start a robotics program at Melville. This program would be piloted in the Talent program. Motion made to cover costs after $90 line item money used and other options explored as to where kit purchased. Approved.
• Mrs. Andrews and Mrs. Blakely would like an outdoor box or new cart for playground equipment. Jim Bauer will investigate options.

1. Health and Safety Night

• Health issues, Ident Kit to be scheduled with Pot Luck or Ice Cream Social.
