Melville Parent Teacher Group March 27, 2002

1. Playground

• Portsmouth Town Council gave the MPTG funding to complete the playground this year. Th funding is to come from the Melville Campground reserve fund.
• Proposal: Release $5,000 of MPTG funds to purchase basketball court materials, to be returned when the town funds come through. Approved.
• Engraved bricks for playground landscaping - Mary Harper will gather some sources and prices for the fundraiser.

• Flyer to be sent home advertising possibilities for MPTG officers.

• Teacher Job Fair reviewed
• Fence bid awarded to D&D Fence

6. New Topics

• Ice Cream Social - May 10 Pam Perras & Mary Harper will coordinate the event.
• Melville Staff Appreciation Luncheon to be held April 29 in Room 3.
• Pennies for Playground not being held this year, suggestion to pursue the Kawanis events volunteer program instead.
