Matt's Software Help Page

I put this page together to help everyone install the Logitech Software so that you are able to use the web camera on your computer and broadcast to people you are communicating with via AOL Instant Messenger.

STEP 1

First you have to have AOL Instant Messenger Version 4.7 or higher. To check and see what version of the software you have loaded on your computer open up AOL Instant Messenger and Log on. Then go to help and About AOL Instant Messenger and it will tell you what version you have on your computer. If you have version 4.7 or higher skip to STEP 2. If you need the new version of AOL Instant Messenger click on the link below. After downloading double click on the file you downloaded to begin the installation procedure.

STEP 2

After installing the new version of Instant Messenger you can load the Logitech IM Video Companion software. Click on the link below to download the software. After installing the Logitech software, Open up AOL Instant Messenger and then open up the Logitech software, a shortcut should be placed on your desktop after the installation. When the Logitech software opens up you should see what your video camera is capturing and you'll know that it is operating properly. If your picture is not displayed properly let me know. The software was made for the Logitech cameras but should operate fine with any web enabled camera. Once you are able to see your picture clearly click the button below the picture to sent an invite to someone on your buddie list. This software also works for MSN Messenger so you will have to select the AIM tab to view your AOL Buddies online and then click on one of their names to send them an invite.
