Below is the one from Baduy Luar on the bridge that connects the two villages.
Baduy
2000. I went to Baduy with two other lady friends. One was
an Indonesian journalist who worked for a French Agency in
Jakarta while the other was an employee in an IT company.
The journalist had been in Baduy for many times and I was
there once long time ago but the IT employee had never
visited Baduy and was very excited to have her first.

Baduy is not like any other ethnic groups in Indonesia. Not
everybody is welcomed. They 'chose' the persons who could
stay with them. And they chose it just by looking at us.
They used their heart and soul to 'judge' the guests.

Located in West Java, Indonesia, about 5 hours from Jakarta,
the capital city of Indonesia. It is an ethnic group that
guards its custom in a very hard way. They are divided into
two groups. The one lives at the outskirt are called 'Baduy Luar' (Luar - Outer) while the other is called 'Baduy Dalam' (Dalam - Inner). The people of Baduy Luar have the responsibility as the guardian of culture while the people of Baduy Dalam has the responsibility of living the culture.

Above is Ajay, the man from Baduy Dalam who likes to "challenge" the custom law. He lost most of his teeth because of that.
