Goodness gracious. I didn't realize how web-addicted this family has become! If you're looking at my little site, I'd like to know! I'm not sure if a web page is any better than email for communication (it's certainly less private), but if this whole Uganda thing works out (and I'm not holding my breath, believe you me) I thought that a web site might be an easier way to keep in touch with family and friends. It's doubtful that I'll have a personal connection in Uganda (heck, getting a phone might be a challenge.) I'll buy time at an internet cafe somewhere in downtown Kampala. And why not snail mail? Not efficient, and besides, I'm not sure how well that works, either (my impression is that it's not as good as mail in Benin.) So, my plan is to upload an update ("Hi, still kickin'..."), pics, links, whatever on a weekly basis.

But that's still at some point in the future. For now, I'm still doing what I do (some days I wonder) here in Germany. Until next time.
