The Boeing 727-200 has become the best selling tri-jet in the world
with more than 1800 ordered or in service. The first order for the
200 series was placed by Northwest Airlines in August, 1965. Painted in
United's 1960's initial delivery scheme, aircraft registration number
N7627U represents one of the first 200 series Boeing 727's acquired
by United Airlines. It served in United's fleet from August 1968 until
retirement in June 1994.
