Accelerated Math has been a huge hit! Those who completed all 10 objectives the first nine weeks really benefited from the review and practice. Students whould have Accelerated Math at all times. Once work is completed more is given to them immediately. This can be used for Nightly Math! Please do not wait until the last week to try to get all of these objects completed! Do not forget you are required to complete 50 minutes of Nightly Math each week and to have your parents to record what you did and for how long in your planner each time you work. THIS IS NOT THE MATH HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS THAT ARE RECORDED SEPERATELY ON THE BOARD AND COPIED INTO YOUR PLANNER! Nightly Math should be done in short 10-15 min. sessions throughout the week to brush up on basic math concepts (multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, place value, decimals, fractions, etc.) or you can do Accelerated Math as your Nightly Math. Parents, please get involved with your child during this time and play the games with them. It is a great way to be involved and to show your support of their education. Parents please remember to check and sign your child's planner each night after they have completed their homework. I will check these daily for any notes you may send. This is the best way to contact me on a consistant basis. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I feel the the lines of communication must be kept open in order for us to work together as a team. If you need to speak directly with me you may call me from 10:50-11:35 or 2:50-3:20 at school, 366-3933. I look forward to working with you and watching your child grow over the next year! |
