Dag ("day") is the personification of the day. He is the son of the giantess Nott and her third husband Dellinger. Dag was so beautiful that the gods decided to give him his own chariot in the sky. His chariot was drawn by the steed Skin-faxi, whose shining mane illuminates the earth and the sky.
