L-nix is Copyright (c) 1994-1997 by CyberMatrix Computing.

L-nix itself is not public domain or free software. The Unix-like
command programs included with L-nix, however, are public domain
freeware. You may do with these programs as you choose. However, in
the shareware version of L-nix, these commands may not be used outside
of the L-nix program. In the registered version the commands may be
used outside of the program.

The commercial, registered version of L-nix may not be duplicated
other than for backup purposes. The same registered copy of L-nix may
not be used in more than one computer at the same time.

Users are granted a limited license to use the trial version of L-nix
for a limited evaluation period of up to 45 days, in order to determine
if it suits their needs. Any other use of L-nix or use past this
period requires registration.

All users are granted a limited license to copy the user supported
version of L-nix only for the purpose of allowing others to try it,
subject to the above restrictions as well as these:

L-nix must be distributed in absolutely unmodified form, including ALL
program, documentation, and other files.

Bulletin Board system operators may post the unregistered, user
supported version of L-nix on their BBS for downloading by their users
without written permission only if the above conditions are met, and
only if no special fee is necessary to access the L-nix files (a
general fee to access the BBS is ok).

   L-nix Ordering/Registration Information

Registering (buying) L-nix allows you to use the product after the trial
period. Registered L-nix users get the current version of L-nix on disk
along with Unix-like commands which can be executed outside the L-nix
shell (the commands in the shareware version of L-nix cannot be executed
outside the L-nix shell) and the remaining modules listed in the main
L-nix menu (the shareware version of L-nix includes only 10 modules, the
registered version contains the remaining 9 modules). Most importantly,
registered users know they are helping to ensure that quality
educational software like L-nix continues to be sold in this low-cost
way.

L-nix registration costs $20 US/CDN, and includes a 'registered' copy of
L-nix on disk. An evaluation disk with the current copy of L-nix on
it is also available for $10 US/CDN. This is to be used to try out L-nix,
and does not include registration (the right to use L-nix after the
evaluation period). The fee covers the cost of diskette(s) and handling.

Registered users will receive free updates of later versions of L-nix
by Internet E-mail (in uuencoded form). Updates on disk will be
available by snail mail for a $5 US/CDN fee per update.

Payment may be in the form of check or money order. All US dollar checks
must be drawn on a US bank, and all Canadian dollar checks must be drawn
on a Canadian bank.

 Quantity and Corporate Purchases

The order form on the following may be used to purchase multiple copies of
L-nix, with discounts as follows:

 11 - 20 copies 10% discount
 21 - 50 copies 15% discount

site licenses available (at a slight reduction in price), which are
based on a fixed number of copies, but in which the site performs the
diskette duplication from master disks and labels supplied by us.
