1000 Steps

(Photos by Barry Irvin)

A trail just west of Mt. Union, PA is known as the "1000 Steps". It is a hike up a mountain to an abandoned stone building that used to house a small railroad engine that carried ore down the mountain and across the Juniata River to the brick works in Mt. Union. The Rainbow Seekers spent a day in October, 2004 hiking up the mountain to enjoy the beautiful views of the Juniata River Valley.
