Moby brings his unique mix of beats and sampled sounds downtown for an intimate show.

Moby is known for intense shows in small venues. Playing his unique mix of techno and rock, he mixes instruments he plays along with unique samples, synthisizers and his own vocals. Dance groves that move from hard house sounding tecno, ambiant, to full on dancable rock. In a little over a year, his last album Play has sold over 2 million copies, and produced several singels full of the remixes that make Moby a staple of dance club play. It also earned him two grammy nominations. Live on stage he's a non-stop fountain of energy, and this show is a great chance to get up close.

The raver kids should be in full force for this, and also the dance club crowd. It should be an older crowd than the average dance music show since Moby has been around since the early 90's.

Outspoken
Moby is very outspoken in his views, seen from the title of his album 'Animal Rights', to the liner notes of his albums where his essays discusses his dislike of fundamentalism, feelings on prisoner's rights, his reasons for being vegan and more.

Alan Lomax Jr.
Moby often uses sampled vocals, and for much of Play used many of the recordings of Alan Lomax Jr, a musical historian that recorded people singing in bars and churches.
