2 full days in the park for 2nd annual Reggae & World Beat music festival

Now on it's tenth year, the annual Bob Marley festival tour makes it's 2nd annual stop in Phoenix downtown at the Deck Park. The 2 day long reggae music festival has a huge lineup of up and coming reggae and world beat artists featuring many from here in the valley. The festival's purpose is to promote Bob Marley's message of peace, unity and one love through music. A continuing tradition of the festival is non-perishable food in leiu of cash for admission, to be donated to local charities. This years theme is 'Exodus' after Marley's album of the same name, which reflects his belief in an 'Exodus' twoards the promise of a new life through cultural unity. This year the show is saluting women with many upcoming female acts in the lineup. In addition to the constant live music there will be Caribbean, African & Third World arts and crafts and food vendors, and a Drum Circle held each day, so if you've got a drum, bring it. Bands include Tribal War, Jah Possie, Dee Dread, Zion Knights, One Blood, and Tchiya Amet, just to name a few.

Admission is free for children so there should be a lot of families out looking to have a couple days of Irie in the park.
