Carvin Jones Band Carvin Jones Band

The Verdict
A live show that suggest's Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn both reincarnated into a guitarist ready to take thier style to the next level is no exageration.

Tip Sheet
Community involvment
In spite of a schedule that usually meant playing a valley club 7 nights a week, before the European tour, he still made time to play personal shows in valley schools.

Wardrobe
The similarity to Hendrix and Vaughn don't end at style and stage presence. He's got the look, right down to the snakeskin boots, jeans, and wide brimmed hat.

Out Of Site
The Carvin Jones Band website is full of live video and music to download, and thier CDs can be ordered there too.

The Skinny
Wrapping up an extensive European tour where he's being hailed as the next Hendrix probably means when The Carvin Jones Band gets back to Arizona we might not have much longer to take his usual constant local club shows for granted anymore. Carvin Jones live tears it up, playting texas style blues rock with skill and passion doing things that seem beyond belief: single handed solos, two simultanious guitar leads on two diffrent guitars and more.

History
Playing since the age of 11 when he picked up the guitar and tried to imitate his first hero B.B. King, Carvin Jones grew up in a small Texas town always playing rock infected blues. 11 Years ago, he relocated to Phoenix, looking for an opprotunity to have more than one club to play at. He found that here, playing nearly seven days a week building a strong following with shows where he gets down playing precision passionate solo after solo through his set of blues rock standards like "Mustang Salley', and 'The Sky Is Crying'. He's no stranger to the big venues either, sharing the stage with greats like B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Carlos Santana. His two albums, both live and one a two CD set, make it clear that his show is what he's all about. His vocals are rough, not much to brag about, but then again, so were Hendrix's. — Dan Dan Leimone
